As such, they are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their largest polymer recycling facility in the UK, based in Avonmouth. Working as their Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out key planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance across the recycling facility on a wide variety of heavy plant and equipment.

 

What you will be doing

As the Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance across heavy industrial plant
  • Mechanical fault-finding and route cause analysis techniques
  • Working across all processing plant
  • Maintenance on wash plant,sorting equipment, motors, conveyors and other manufacturing based equipment.
  • Minimising downtime, ensuring plant runs at optimum performance
  • Be able to deliver all work set to the operational expectations and budgetary requirements
  • Keep records using CMMS
  • Working as part of a shift pattern
  • Other duties as required.

Setec Consulting Engineers LTD is seeking enthusiastic Engineers with a drive to work on the design and construction of the Hinkley Point C (HPC) nuclear new build power plant, currently one of the world’s largest construction projects. Hinkley is set to be the benchmark for future construction of similar projects in the UK. This is a great way to be exposed to the latest technology and digital construction methods with 3D BIM rebar modelling in TEKLA on such a large industrial project. We are looking to grow our Site Engineering Team located on the construction site in Somerset and in our office in Bristol across multiple disciplines and are looking for people who thrive in a dynamic environment, who can work collaboratively to deliver innovative and technical solutions to our client’s problems and construction team problems involving design aspect. The team is an integrated team within the Consortium SICOS level 3 Design Team composed of Egis, Tractebel and Setec. As part of SICOS Site Engineering Design Team, you will be part of a site design team of civil engineers, BIM coordinator and draftsmen working on the most complicated RC structures of Nuclear Island buildings in the Hinkley Point C project (in particular, Reactor buildings, Fuel building, Safeguard buildings). You will work with senior engineer building pilot, chief draftsman and drafting team to answer to construction team requests on the design package released by the design back office in France. Main activities: You will be involved in the wide-ranging activities undertaken by our site-based teams, which will include: ? Modifying reinforced concrete or steel structure designs compliant with the ETC-C or other relevant codes (Eurocodes) and project methodology; ? Checking and coordinating the detailing activities with CAD designers or other engineers in preparation of 3D BIM rebar model and/or 2D drawings of reinforced concrete or steels structure; ? Managing engineering changes in line with company/project procedures and QA process; ? In charge of the assessment and the response to Field Changes Requests, Field Information Requests or Site Non Conformance coming from the civil works contractors; ? Liaising with other stakeholders of site engineering team or construction team for clarification on the site request ? Liaising with Back Office in France, Poland, Romania and Tunisia for clarification on design package or for closing out of design package issues; ? Technical review and acceptance of contractor deliverables; ? Site Walkdowns and inspection; Skills and Experience Your skills are important and your attitude towards taking on fresh challenges to innovative 3D rebar modelling is key.
