Our plastics reprocessing facility in Avonmouth, Bristol will reprocess over 80,000 tonnes of plastic every year - more than 1.6 billion bottles, tubs, and trays – creating recycled raw material to return to the economy. Plastic recycling at the facility will save 126,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year, the equivalent of taking over 67,000 cars off the road

 

We have a new opportunity for an Execution Engineer to join our team at out new Polymers facility in Avonmouth, Bristol for 42.5 hours pr week, from Monday to Friday.

 

The salary for this role is circa £54,000 per year, plus participation in a yearly bonus scheme, where you could earn up to 10% of your base salary.

 

 

About the role

 

The Execution Engineer will be part of our multi-disciplinary maintenance team and will play an integral role in the delivery of the maintenance strategy at our Avonmouth Polymer Reprocessing Facility. The primary purpose of this role is the effective execution of breakdown and corrective maintenance work, as well as supporting the root cause analysis process to implement preventive actions to improve overall plant availability.

 

Working collaboratively with EC&I engineer, Mechanical Engineer and the Maintenance Planner, the Execution Engineer will lead the site multi-functional maintenance team to execute planned and reactive maintenance activities to ensure machine condition, availability and standards are maintained.

 

The Execution Engineer will provide technical support/governance to ensure improvement projects are executed to the correct standards and in line with site plan, as well as owning the statutory inspections.

 

In addition, this role will be responsible for ensuring a positive safety culture is upheld at all levels and financial targets are met within their department

 

What are we looking for?

 

  • Understanding in a mechanical/electrical engineering role from areas such as FMCG/ manufacturing/ waste management.
  • Full working understanding and ability to lead root cause analysis (RCA) and provide effective engineering solutions
  • Ability to successfully manage and deliver on multiple tasks with competing priorities and strict time lines
  • An experienced Mechanical/Electrical Engineer with relevant background and level of expertise, with a focus on plant maintenance

In particular, EPR-E is responsible for the design of the nuclear island for the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project and preparing the design replication and engineering activities for the Sizewell C (SZC) Project. As part of the Responsible Designer for the Hinkley Point C EPR project, EPR-E provides the design for the Nuclear Island (NI). EPR-E is responsible for delivering the design for a number of NI buildings, systems and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project through an integrated team, support to HPC construction and commissioning activities, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. Therefore, a Technical Directorate is being created, responsible for the engineering disciplines and technical expertise required to deliver the different engineering projects through integrated teams in EPR-E. For the HPC project, we are currently looking to recruit for the role of Layout Team Lead. As a Layout Team Lead, you will be responsible for assisting with several of the below listed activities depending on the job/project requirements and the competences and experience:  
  • Managing a team of between 8 – 12 Layout Engineers.
  • Coordinating the production of deliverables and/or rework in accordance with the schedule, cost and quality as defined by the Building Manager.

As such they are looking for a Electrical Process Engineer to join their Polymers Recycling Facility on a permanent based in Skelmersdale. This role will be leading their optimisation programme across the facility, supporting in the improvement of plant performance, safety and capacity across the site while maintaining quality standards.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

As the Electrical Process Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Identifying various electrical, mechanical and engineering solutions that will assist with the optimisation of plant performance, capacity, and safety.
  • Working closely with the Senior Management teams across the site ensure that all technical preparations are completed prior to any optimisation activities being undertaken. This will include providing structured optimisation plans.
  • Coordinating the site by liaising with other company departments to develop strong relationships with various clients.
  • Ability to perform plant assessments using data driven analysis.
  • Be a strategic thinker capable of taking the project from conception through design development to installation and commissioning.

 

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:
  • Strong track record in process development with experience in material handling and processing in areas such as manufacturing, food processing or waste management.
