Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the you will:
ย

Conduct detailed piping flexibility and support calculations using industry-standard tools and methodologies.

Perform mechanical analysis of piping networks to verify compliance with applicable design codes and standards.

Identify and propose technical solutions when sizing or flexibility criteria are not satisfied.

Develop and produce comprehensive technical assessment and calculation notes.

Prepare loading description reports in coordination with system engineering activities.

Validate civil work interfaces, equipment nozzle loads, and layout modifications, ensuring seamless integration with structural and mechanical systems.

Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of calculation tools, procedures, and methodologies.

Provide technical support and expertise to other engineers within the team and across international interfaces.

Ensure all deliverables meet quality, safety, and project schedule requirements.

Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

PhD or Degree in Mechanics or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.

Strong expertise in mechanical simulation, particularly finite element analysis (FEA).

Strong understanding of piping stress analysis, materials, and structural mechanics.
-
Hands-on experience with finite element tools.

Familiarity with UK design standards and regulatory processes.

Proficiency in ANSYS and special piping component calculations (fixed points, endplates).

Experience with RSTAB, BEAM STRESS, and support calculations and CALTUY/Pipestress software. ย

Knowledge of RCC-M code (section C3650) and damage modes.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in piping calculation.
