Roles & Responsibilities
As the
Electronics Repair Engineer
, you will be responsible for:
- To fault find, test and repair all units returned by DDC Electronics Ltd customers.
- Fault find and repair defence/aerospace power supply units down to component level
- Investigate and identify faults using test equipment and processes
- Document all fault-finding and repair procedures ensuring robust traceability
- Work autonomously from the repairs monthly plan
- Liaise with test and production departments to ensure effective use of equipment in line with repair and production targets
- Work collaboratively with engineering and test departments to ensure corrective actions are carried out within target dates
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Essential:
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of electronic fault finding down to component level
Detailed knowledge of power supplies
- AC/DC Switch mode PSU
- Power factor correction
- Communications I/F (SPI,CAN, I²C etc)
- Environmental testing (Temp/Vibration)
Proficient use of fault-finding equipment
- Single/3 Phase supplies
- DC sources
- Multi-meters
- Oscilloscopes
- Function generators
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of reading/interpreting
- Engineering drawings
- PCB layouts
- Schematics
Good level of computer literacy
- Test software
- MS Office – Excel/Outlook etc
Desirable:
Knowledge of
- Multi-Phase Converters
- Resonant Converters
