  • Take the lead on preparing BESS (EMS, BCS, SCADA, Visualisation) and PV plant controllers.
  • Work and manage with third party plant controller providers to make sure that the delivered product meets the needs of the specific site requirements and allows for a flawless commissioning phase of all components. 
  • Review design elements, flow charts and functional specifications, prepare scope of works and make sure requirements are met.
  • Make sure that all critical and relevant parameters especially from the battery system are monitored properly and depicted in the operator´s interface.
  • Set up communication system architecture, choose of switches and setting up IP-structure (e.g. VLANs).
  • A good understanding for state-of-the-art IT/OT security procedures and equipment.

As Field Service Engineer you will be responsible for attending customers' sites, maintaining various solar PV systems on a day-to-day basis. These PV systems are mainly ground mounted PV systems. The Field Service Engineer will be carrying out maintenance on installations, utilising and testing solar PV.

As Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:-

  • Routine maintenance, testing, and remedial work on deployed solar PV systems
  • Complying with business procedures
  • Installation of any new Solar PV or Wind systems in the current pipeline
  • Performing Preventative Maintenance accordingly with the PPM annual plan
  • Performing Corrective Maintenance as occur
  • Reporting of activities performed on site, daily basis, through the CMMS or manual reports as applicable

To be considered for the Field Service Engineer role, you will demonstrate experience in:-
  • 3+ years Network diagnostics & Remote communications experience
  • 3+ years LV/HV Planned Preventative maintenance G59 Competent
  • Familiarity with Earthing Systems - including measuring and monitoring Relays
  • Excellent computer skills with a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as CMMS and Reporting software
  • Knowledge of power electronics and circuitry, power generation technologies and equipment
  • Excellent understanding of CCTV systems

Senior Design Engineer Indaver leads the field in sustainable waste management in Europe, with facilities and operations in Belgium, Germany, Ireland and the Netherlands. Our waste-to-energy facility in Meath is the first of its kind on the island of Ireland. We process up to 235,000t of residual waste each year and produce electricity to power 35,000 homes annually.    This role will involve the Management, Review and Co-Ordination of design packages from Consulting Engineers and project Contractors in order to deliver a thoroughly robust and safe design for execution of the works. This role will involve a combination of office and site based engineering activities, where you will be expected to carry out the level of Co-Ordination referenced above at design stage and continue the inspection, review and Co Ordination during the construction phase to ensure the works are being executed in accordance with the design and works planning. Function description:
  • Implementing design review, making and recording changes to designs and disseminating those changes to the relevant parties.
  • Physical presence required at work fronts to review the implementation of designs and seek efficiencies and improvements of the design delivery.
  • Support the Project Manager to achieve the contract program
  • Ensure RAMS & ITPs are completed in conjunction with progression of works
  • Ensure NCRs and defects are actioned and closed out to the satisfaction of Indaver
  • Regular liaison with Project Manager to ensure that subcontractor works are delivered to the satisfaction of Indaver.
  • Consult where appropriate Indaver Health & Safety to ensure that all safety standards are followed.
  • Monitor sub-contractors’ safety standards and ensure that they comply with Indaver standards. 
Required skills:
  • Third level qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction, plus significant and relevant experience.
  • 10 years’ experience of Engineering Design Co-Ordination of large scale technical investment projects of a Civil Engineering or heavy Construction nature or similar works on a Pharmaceutical site.
  • In-depth knowledge of Construction regulations.
  • Experience of Temporary works Design process is an advantage

Deputy Group Leader (Manufacturing Control)                                        Aztec West (Bristol)                                                                                                             (3 days per week minimum) EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is a subsidiary of Edvance, which is a joint venture between EDF and Framatome, established in 2018 in charge of the design and the realisation of nuclear islands for new projects in France and worldwide. In particular, EPR-E is responsible for the design and construction of the nuclear island for Hinkley Point C (HPC) project and preparing the design replication and engineering activities for the Sizewell C (SZC) Project. At HPC we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes. For the HPC project, we are currently looking to recruit for the role of Deputy Group Leader – Manufacturing Control The UK Manufacturing Control (UKMC) team aims to provide adequate and reactive surveillance on:
  • Manufacturing documentation and In-shop manufacturing.

These activities are achieved to provide confidence to our clients (projects) and to ensure that the manufactured parts and equipment reach the expected level of quality, in accordance with the specified requirements, and can thus be delivered to nuclear sites for installation. Created in November 2021, and as part of DI (Industrial Division of EDF Group), the UKMC team is now part of EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E). Its headquarters are in Bristol (Aztec West). The main competencies of the team are Manufacturing, Materials, Welding and NDTs. UKMC current scope of work is basically all the manufacturing in the UK for new nuclear projects (UK and abroad) and the French operating fleets. But most of the work (~90%) is dedicated to HPC project, on all areas and programmes:
  • Nuclear Island (UK4101, HK4102.1)
  • Conventional Island and Balance of Plant (UK3011, UK3511, UK3252, UK5211, UK5221…)
  • Marine Works (OH2231)
  • Civil Works (HK2201)
  • Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC – MEH (OH3631, HK2798, HK3699)
The purpose of this role is primarily to assist the Manager/Group Leader of the UKMC team. The main tasks are: Technical assistance contracts:
  • to perform the operational management of TA services (monthly meetings with partners, monitoring of actions, monitoring of indicators, etc.)
  • to verify the partners times, log of activities, invoicing…
Internal control and monitoring of the team activities:
  • to achieve the managerial validation of some of the team's technical deliverables
  • to monitor the actions given to the UKMC pilots (assigned with the management), and to challenge the team performance (with the UKMC KPIs)
Internal support:
  • to provide support to the UKMC pilots for the assignment of inspection resources (arbitrations if necessary)
  • to help the UKMC manager in preparing the monthly team meetings (updating KPIs dashboard, preparing some topics)
  • to help solving all kinds of issues (IT, logistics…)
  • to carry out various administrative procedures
Internal managerial representation:
  • to ensure a field presence (with in-shop inspectors)
  • to participate in regular meetings with inspectors and engineers
Taking information externally:
  • to participate in part of the directorate meeting within DI
  • to participate in some technical and transverse meetings in DI and EPR-E
Propositions of business development, and identifying strategic opportunities The candidate will have to be able to travel on a regular basis in the UK (couple of times each month) and occasionally in France (Paris). To be considered, we require the following skills and experience:
  • Management skills: an already acquired and successful experience is team leading/management (preferable), otherwise to be able to demonstrate such skills
  • Knowledge in equipment procurement contracts for nuclear projects (HPC preferably)
  • Good technical competencies in mechanical engineering, materials, welding
  • Advanced knowledge in the manufacturing of equipment/parts, as well as in Quality and/or Surveillance
  • Experience in the management/coordination of contracts for technical assistance
