Our Client is one of the UK's leading provider of Environmental solutions, offering a full range of Waste and Energy Recovery services through a vast and growing network of Plants and Facilities across the country and as such they are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join one of their key sites in Rochester. Working as their Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out key planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance across the recycling facility on a wide variety of heavy plant and equipment.

What you will be doing

As the Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:
  • Preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance across heavy industrial plant
  • Mechanical fault-finding and route cause analysis techniques
  • Working across all processing plant
  • Maintenance on wash plant,sorting equipment,  motors, conveyors and other manufacturing based equipment.
  • Minimising downtime, ensuring plant runs at optimum performance
  • Be able to deliver all work set to the operational expectations and budgetary requirements
  • Keep records using CCM systems
  • Working as part of a shift pattern
  • Other duties as required.

The role
  • To support the RA Business Manager in leading and managing the cradle to grave process of RA incineration at Fawley from initial enquiry through all phases of processing to final disposal, ensuring an efficient and professional service at all times.
  • Act as Radiation Protection Supervisor for Fawley site, providing appropriate training for site staff and contractors on radiation awareness, specific radiological hazards on site and monitoring for radiological contamination.
  • Producing radiological risk assessments and maintaining monitoring systems and documentation in line with IRR2017 to ensure the radiological protection of staff working on site
  • Develop and Maintain Work Instructions for all tasks associated with radioactive waste at Fawley, including the training & development of personnel in relation to handling radioactive materials and being the lead responsible person for dosimetry monitoring of staff members at Fawley.
  • To ensure compliance is maintained at all times against the sites Radioactive Environmental Permit with adherence to procedures, RPS control of operations and maintenance of accurate records including instrument calibration, site monitoring and routine safety checks.
  • Support the maintenance of systems of work that ensure data integrity for accuracy of reporting KPI’s to customers and to regulatory bodies such as the Environment Agency.
  • Liaise with the nominated Radiation Protection Advisor on all aspects of radiological business
  • Act as a point of contact for new enquiries, advising on characterisation and packaging to ensure conformance with waste acceptance criteria, undertaking capability reviews of new waste streams when required and acting as Deputy Delivery Manager for key contracts, ensuring KPIs are met and working with the customer to resolve issues and non-conformances.
  • Manage a team of technical staff, ensuring training requirements are met and records of development and progression are maintained. Assisting the RA Business Manager in managing the dynamic priorities of the department, including setting internal KPIs and monitoring the performance of the team.

  • Managing the brokering and tracking of large contract jobs in partnership with external customers and internal sites, both internationally and within the UK, including use of SAP management systems.
  • Pricing waste streams in accordance with existing pricing matrices, identifying waste streams where a pricing review or involvement of other business areas would be beneficial and participation in the generation of new pricing structures for bids and tenders.
  • Applying your broad knowledge of the radioactive waste industry and plant processes to support sales teams when writing bids, informing decisions on pricing and risk reduction, reaching back into the varied specialist departments within Tradebe Fawley departments and across Tradebe UK when required for more detailed technical requests or specific queries.
  • Support the RA business manager with Annual reporting activities such as Sealed sources registration and compliance.
  • Attend Fawley and group wide meetings to inform on upcoming projects and ensure good inter-departmental communication.

The Candidate

Candidates should have strong CAD knowledge as well as demonstrable success delivering projects and a proven track record working directly with clients on project designs and coordination.

 

Due to a high level of travel to various sites throughout this role, candidates must hold a valid full UK driving licence and be flexible in their working hours.

Job Overview –

The TerraCycle Account Management Team seeks to hire a resourceful, autonomous and organised Account Manager to manage a portfolio of around 10-12 large and key accounts across Europe (mostly large FMCG brands) with a focus on the UK and France.

Their primary responsibility will be to manage the overall relationship with the client, the day to day running of recycling programmes and will ensure that all contractual obligations of the partnership are delivered to the right specifications and on time. They will oversee the launch of a recycling partnership and manage partnership projects where needed.

The role will be placed in the Account Management Team and will report to one of the Account Directors in the team.

The Account Manager will work closely with the Account Director to execute and deliver on set KPIs and strategies for growing revenue within their portfolio and expanding existing relationship and opportunities and ensure continuous renewals of partnerships. They will support the Account Director in building strategies for their portfolios and work on expanding existing relationships with key stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

Recurring tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Serving as primary contact for a portfolio of brand partners
  • Managing external client relationships to satisfaction to ensure renewal and growth

The Opportunity  EPR-E is a joint venture between EDF and Framatome, an EPCC established in 2018 in charge of the design (basic design) and the realization (studies, procurement, erection, testing and commissioning) of nuclear islands for new projects in France and worldwide. In particular, EPR-E is responsible for the design and construction of the nuclear island for the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project and prepare the design replication and engineering activities for the Sizewell C (SZC) Project. Senior engineers within the team will be expected to adopt positions of technical responsibility and coordinate the delivery of engineering teams as required. Framatome is owned by the EDF Group (80.5%) and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI – 19.5%) In the UK we are currently over 300 strong and our plans are to grow to 400-500 by 2025 through the development our UK nuclear service offerings Framatome Ltd’s Commercial Lead provides strategic leadership, Commercial oversight and control to ensure delivery of projects in line with client-side commercial arrangements in line with company strategy and both operational and financial targets. The Commercial Lead manages the commercial team and key contracts along with liaising with internal and external stakeholders on our major contracts. The Commercial lead has the strategic responsibility for the Framatome Ltd Commercial function for scope delivery, compliance to process and ensuring delivery of financial targets. The Commercial Lead is tasked with the long term training and development of team members with future projects and opportunities in mind, as well as ensuring the team capacity, capability and skills are ready for future pipeline of projects. Key responsibilities will include:
  • Ensure all Commercial processes (including Procurement) are drafted, implemented and followed
  • Reviewing and developing process to improve and maximise growth
  • Own processes, policies and procedures for the Commercial function as required
  • Ensure that the organisation complies with the contract obligations as stated
  • Communicates with internal and external parties in a contract, so that all understand the terms and particularly the contracts financial aspects
  • Coaches and develops employees on best practices for managing complex contract issues
  • Ultimately accountable for the financial management of the project’s and reporting on progress against these
  • Nurtures relationships with clients to ensure long term delivery and value for the company
  • Training and / or mentoring Commercial Team
  • Involvement in negotiating and agreeing contracts prior to contract placement
  • Involvement with the bid process to high-light commercial risk
  • Accepts extra duties as situations arise
To be considered, the following attributes are essential:
  • Qualified to degree level in relevant discipline.
  • Experience working in a Senior Commercial Manager role with a track record of delivery on large multi-million-pound contracts spanning multiple years
  • Experience of corporate finance
  • Experience in Complex negotiations & stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of Contract terms and Construction industry regulation (i.e. NEC/ FIDIC)
  • Experience of managing teams and demonstrating team development
  • CIPS/ICM accreditation
Desired Attributes:  
  • ERP system knowledge (preferably SAP)
  • Knowledge of the Nuclear Industry &/or Manufacturing
  • Knowledge of NEC/ JCT/ FIDIC terms and conditions and interpreting bespoke conditions of contracts
  • Knowledge of sales/ proposals processes and managing commercial risk
