Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant :
- Accurate, complete, and timely processing of journal entries
- Thorough analyses of the general ledger account activities and other monthly analytical closing activities
- Providing detailed responses to assorted inquiries from various departments
- Providing supporting documentation and insight for the financial reporting process
- This is a 3-month contract with the possibility of extensions or conversion to full-time employment
- CPA certification or candidacy is preferred
Required Skills for Senior Accountant :
- 4+ years of experience in an industry accounting, public accounting or internal auditing role
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited college or university
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with SAP enterprise software and/or Business Objects reporting software is preferred
- Knowledge of SEC requirements, GAAP, and new accounting pronouncements
