Description

Hydro-X Air comprises of dedicated teams of two working remotely to deliver ventilation Ductwork cleaning and other air hygiene services to our customers.

Location: Field Based, will be expected to travel within the region

Working Hours: 45hours per week, some weeks will be working days, others will be night working and some weekend work will be required. Schedulers aim to plan jobs up to 2 weeks in advance where possible. Requirements

Main Duties

The duties will include, but are not limited to, working within the guidance provided by TR19 and associated company documents, and guidance, to ensure that any work on site is safe and free from the risks.

You may be expected to undertake some or all of the work below:

  • Carry out kitchen extract system cleaning and canopy cleans in accordance with TR19 Grease.
  • Carry out ventilation systems cleaning in accordance with TR19.
  • Installation of access doors into ventilation system in accordance with DW144.
  • Carry out inspection of the Fire dampers in accordance with BS9999
  • Follow a preventative maintenance program as instructed.
  • Maintain personal equipment & chemical stocks inventories.
  • You will also be expected to undertake any other duties associated to the output of the Regional Team as required.

Introduction

Our Client is one of the UK's leading provider of Environmental solutions, offering a full range of Waste and Energy Recovery services through a vast and growing network of Plants and Facilities across the country and as such they are looking for an Electrical Control & Instrumentation Technician to join their new Polymers Recycling Facility in Avonmouth. Working as their Electrical Control & Instrumentation Technician you will be responsible for carrying out key pre-planned and breakdown maintenance on EC&I equipment across the recycling facility, including fault diagnostics, issue rectification and calibration of instruments.

 

 

What you will be doing

As Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for:
  • Preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance of EC&I equipment
  • Fault-finding, diagnostics and calibration of instruments relating to control systems.
  • Maintenance and programming of the sites PLC systems.
  • Assist in the development of plant modification and improvement work to improve plant reliability, efficiency and performance.
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the site CMMS, ensuring all documents are recorded in a timely manner along with the relevant RAMS/H&S documents.
  • Supervising and directing on site contractors when required.
  • Provide technical support to the Operations Team.
  • Ensuring strict HSE compliance always.
  • Working as part of a shift pattern.

What you will need

To be considered for this position, candidates must have relevant Electrical/ C&I qualifications to NVQ level 3 or equivalent. You should have experience working in a heavy process environment (ideally Waste Management, Power Generation, Industrial Plant, Aggregates, Manufacturing, FMCG or Food etc.) and have a working knowledge of calibration, maintenance and fault finding practices on heavy process equipment.
