Introduction

Our Client is one of the UK's leading provider of Environmental solutions, offering a full range of Waste and Energy Recovery services through a vast and growing network of Plants and Facilities across the country and as such they are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Fitter to join one of their key Waste Transfer Stations in London. Working as their Electrical Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out key planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance across the recycling facility on a wide variety of heavy plant and equipment.

 

What you will be doing

As Electrical Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for:
  • Preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance across heavy industrial plant, attending to breakdowns as needed.
  • Electrical fault-finding, diagnostics, and route cause analysis techniques
  • Working across all processing plant and overhead equipment
  • Maintenance on PLCs, motors, inverter drives, conveyors etc.
  • Testing and inspection
  • Minimising downtime, ensuring plant runs at optimum performance
  • Troubleshooting
  • Be able to deliver all work set to the operational expectations and budgetary requirements
  • Keep records using internal systems and support in the implementation of IMS.
  • Assisting with RAMS, permits to work and safe systems of work
  • Working as part of a shift pattern
  • Other duties as required.

This is rotating shift pattern of early and late shifts, covering Saturdays on a 1 in 4 basis. Please only apply if this is suitable.

What you will need
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
  • 18th Edition
  • Heavy Industrial experience – e.g. processing plant, waste, manufacturing
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams and drawings

Working as a Commissioning Engineer, you will be expected to travel widely and at short notice as required to support in the installation and commissioning of a variety of process water equipment.                   Roles & Responsibilities Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Ensuring all customer sites are prepped to accept water process equipment, including paperwork and risk assessment completion in advance. Once on site you will also be responsible for the management of projects including auditing of all on-site activities.
  • Both Mechanical and Electrical installation and commissioning of the equipment, following electrical diagrams and working with on-site teams to ensure the plant is running correctly.

The Production Engineer’s primary focus will be to take lead responsibility for the product integration from the development engineering phase to the manufacturing environment.                     Roles & Responsibilities Working as a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Involved in the early development stage of new product development, working closely with the engineering team to help assess new product suitability for mass production. This will also include improvements to existing product portfolios.
  • Identify and produce any bespoke tooling, jigs, or fixtures required for testing and mass production for different teams across the manufacturing facility. e.g., Quality Control, Research & Development.
  • Able to visualise and plan processes and layout, stage material flow on the production floor and coordinate primarily mechanical and electrical build activities.

Introduction

We are currently recruiting for an Electrician to join one of the leading providers of Water engineering services and solutions across the South. Working as their Electrician, you will join their small but established team based at their head office in Waterlooville, travelling out to client sites carrying out electrical installations, repair and testing work on various water contracts. This will see you working in a hands-on site-based role covering both clean and dirty water projects.

 

The Job

Working as the Electrician, you will be responsible for…
  • Preforming electrical installations, refurbishments, repairs, testing and pre-planned maintenance across clean and dirty water projects.
  • Work on client sites across the South, working away and staying where needed.
  • Assisting clients on-site with technical faults or refurbishment projects.
  • Inspect, survey, identify faults and carry out testing on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Working on client sites and within the company workshop as required.
  • Installing and Commissioning new systems and package plant covering both clean and dirty water processes.
  • Complete required paperwork for each project to demonstrate installation and testing work has been carried out successfully and accurately.
  • Following set designs and manufacturers installation guides, utilising design drawings and wiring diagrams to complete assigned projects.
  • Survey electrical systems and plans, ensuring compliance with BS7671 requirements and client specific standards.
  • Completing risk assessments, activity reports and other documentation as required.
  • Offering after sales technical support.

This is a field-based position requiring a flexible approach to work and the ability to stay away when needed.

 

The Candidate

To be considered for this position candidates will be expected to have a background in performing Electrical maintenance / installation/ testing, ideally with experience working in the water industry or on water treatment plants. Control and automation experience would be advantageous.  Candidates are expected to be Electrically qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent and will ideally hold 18th edition and 2391 Test and Inspection. A valid CSCS/ECS is preferable as well as confined space training but this is not essential.  Due to the nature of this role, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and be flexible to travel across the South and stay away.

Introduction

We are currently seeking a qualified Site Chemist to work with one of the UK’s leading waste management service providers who focus on the disposal and collection of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste. Working as their  Site Chemist, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations across the waste facility ensuring efficient and effective sampling, testing and analysis of the waste on-site to ensure safe and compliance processing at all times.

 

The Role

Working as their Site Chemist, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the team of on-site Chemists, assisting with the hands-on operation of the hazardous waste site ensuring materials coming onto and off-site are consistently safe and are compliant in-line with site permits and environmental regulations.
  • Compiling lists of wastes’ to be transferred off site to third party disposal points. Liaising with other staff to ensure correct routing of wastes.
  • Assisting with non- conformance procedures and sample processing within the site laboratory for incoming waste streams.
  • Ensuring the operation of a hazardous waste transfer station is able to receive and dispatch loads making sure environmental compliance is abided to.
  • Utilising appropriate systems to manage non-compliances.
  • Work to meet site and laboratory targets for processing.
  • Ensuring house-keeping requirements are maintained and continuous improvement programmes supported.
  • Undertake all administration tasks as needed such as chemist check sheets, process sheets, stock sheets etc.
  • Other tasks as needed.

 

The Candidate

To be considered for this position, candidates must have an appropriate chemistry qualification to degree level as well as experience handling a diverse range of chemical compounds including understanding of inter-reactions.

Candidates should have experience working in a Site-based Chemist role or working within an industrial lab with a good understanding of the Waste Management/ Hazardous Waste industry.

This role will require you to work in a hands-on operational capacity outdoors in all weather conditions.

We are currently recruiting for an Analytical Chemist to join one of the industry leaders in hazardous and clinical waste management solutions across the UK. Working as the Analytical Chemist, you will be responsible for taking samples and carrying out analytical testing of the waste on-site to support with method development and validation and ensure safe and compliant waste management across the facility at all times.

 

The Job

Working as the Analytical Chemist, you will be responsible for:
  • Performing various analytical tests on waste samples coming onto site.
  • Running and maintaining instrumentation within the Laboratory, including GC-MS/FID and ICP-OES.
  • Ensuring all work complies with relevant HSE, Quality, Regulatory and Accreditation standards (UKAS, ISO 17025).
  • Sample preparation, extraction and clean-up using various techniques.
  • Calculation of results from testing and data entry into the company system.
  • Performing daily checks including balances, pipettes and instruments.
  • Sampling of incoming waste streams for compliance.
  • Work with senior teams to ensure site and lab KPI’s are met.

The Candidate

To be considered for this position, candidates are expected to have an appropriate chemistry qualification to degree level as well as experience handling a diverse range of chemical compounds.

 

Candidates would ideally have some experience in Analytical Chemistry and Statistical Analysis as a good understanding of working in an operational laboratory.   

 

This role would suit a recent Chemistry graduate who is looking to utilise their knowledge in a hands-on role in the waste/ hazardous waste industry.
