Introduction

Our Client is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join their Recycling Facility on a full time permanent bases, based in Halesfield. This role will be leading and supporting their Engineering and Maintenance function across the team, strengthening the current strategy on-site.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Leading and developing all maintenance and engineering strategies across a fast-paced recycling facility.
  • Working closely with the head of Engineering to develop and lead a strong planned maintenance structure, optimising and utilising current assets from performance data.
  • Working to build a strong basis for maintenance procedures across the site to set the standard for future maintenance strategies.

Astute's Power Team are currently recruiting an EC&I Technician to join the Operator on an Operational Waste to Energy facility based in North Yorkshire. This role is a 3 months contract position inside of IR35. The EC&I Technician position comes with an day rate from £300.00 to £450.00 per day. Role responsibilities and key skills for the role:
  • Act as the electrical duty holder for the site, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
  • Own and maintain site control and instrumentation systems including SCADA, PCS7 and Safety Instrumented Systems.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), calibration, and compliance testing of all instruments in line with statutory and operational requirements.
  • Support and lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement actions arising from investigations.
  • Assist in plant shutdowns/outages, ensuring EC&I work is safely completed on time.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Develop and review engineering procedures, risk assessments and method statements.
  • Deliver and test software modules and logic systems, including modifications to site PLCs or automation systems.
  • Collaborate closely with the Operations and Maintenance teams, providing guidance and support.
  • Liaise with external contractors for specialist works and commissioning where required.
