Solar Electrician - Norwich
PERMANENT
  • TERMS: permanent
Hi Tim Just a bit of a summary from earlier today plus a couple of extras… Current positions: PV Engineers – ideally fully experienced in ground mounted utility scale solar sites, based in….
  • Coventry – ideally south of Birmingham
  • Tunbridge Wells/Polegate – somewhere in between ideal
  • South West – no further west than Exeter
  • Norwich – new position
Where it’s not possible to fill these roles with experienced individuals, they would consider taking on Technicians at a lower salary - £36k-£43k – so to have solar experience, in a commercial setting. We also have:
  • Solar Project Technician for the West of the country – ideally south west again no further than Exeter
This role was only advertised on Indeed and internally and has not generated any suitable candidates. There are bigger plans for the O&M team to split into 5 regions, North, South, East, West and Wales – with Team Leaders managing each region, so this will mean smaller areas to cover for our engineers and techs and more chance for succession. In December we are expecting a further 15 PV Engineer/Tech type roles to be approved, so if you see anyone with experience from any area, it’s best to send them over just in case. I have attached the job descriptions for the roles, but if you have any questions please let me know. Engineer and Tech are same JD, The hiring manager is Marc Poulton – Head of Technical, he usually does a quick screening call with candidates first before deciding if they should progress to a formal interview.
