This plant is able to produce 800MW of Power in a Combined Cycle configuration. The Electrical Technician position is a vital role within the Maintenance department responsible for the short & long term maintenance on all control system, measuring & instrumentation assets which are essentially the central nervous system of the plant.   • Supervising and directing contractors.
  • Assisting in plant shutdowns and outages.

  • A relevant technical qualification such as an HNC/ONC in electrical engineering

Plant Manager

Astute’s Power Team are working with the developers of a major Waste-to-Energy power generation project in the UK. As part of the operational leadership structure for the facility, they are looking to recruit a Plant Manager to take responsibility for the safe, efficient and compliant operation of the site. The new build facility, located in Irvine, North Ayrshire, when complete can produce ~17MW of power through the incineration of ~180,000 tonnes of waste per year. This project is expected to shortly enter commissioning phase and be operational in 2027. The Plant Manager will lead plant operations, maintenance coordination and overall operational performance while ensuring the facility operates in full compliance with environmental permits and regulatory requirements.
