Astute’s Renewables Team is partnering with a global BESS business who are in looking for a Senior Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manager to cover both the UK and Europe. The company develop, manage and operate and maintain BESS sites and we’re looking for the O&M Manager to join them to provide strategic oversight of the operations department.
The Senior Operations and Maintenance BESS Manager will come with a market-led salary plus company van, fuel card and sponsorship can be offered too (if required).

Responsibilities and duties of the Senior O&M BESS Manager role
Reporting to senior management you will:

Oversee technical operations, team coordination and client communication across a portfolio of BESS sites in Europe

Maintain BESS to a high standard by carrying out regular inspections when necessary

Provide technical support and advice to Field Service Engineers across the portfolio

Look for ways to continually improve technical SOPs and maintenance procedures
-
Regularly review the Field Service Engineer’s performance and the O&M Team’s technical competencies, looking for ways to support and develop the staff

Monitor system performance through SCADA and remote monitoring platforms, using data to suggest new and improved ways of operating

Report to senior management

Travel nationally and international when required
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

At least 3 years of direct experience in the BESS market

At least a level 3 electrical qualification, degree qualified preferred
-
Have a strong working knowledge of BESS and SCADA systems

Valid driving licence

The Senior O&M BESS Manager role would suit someone who is:

Strong understanding of HV and LV power electronics, including transformers and inverters
