You’ll help validate functionality end-to-end, from requirements review through test execution and results reporting.

Position Overview for the Functional Tester:

  • Perform hands-on functional testing for Health and Human Services (HHS) systems with an emphasis on Integrated Eligibility (IE) rules testing
  • Validate benefit calculations, issuance schedules, payment methods/outputs, and eligibility outcomes
  • Test across multiple phases including test planning, execution, and closure, covering integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing
  • Validate batch processes such as benefit issuance, interfaces (flat files and SOAP UI), data conversion, reports, notices, and security roles
  • Coordinate interface testing for inbound and outbound eligibility data exchanges with external interfaces and downstream benefits issuances

Requirements for the Functional Tester:

  • Prior experience testing Health and Human Services (HHS) systems, with strong focus on Integrated Eligibility (IE) rules across public assistance programs including Cash Assistance (TANF) and Food Assistance (SNAP)
  • Prior experience with Benefits issuance and eligibility determinations
  • Demonstrated ability to review and interpret functional specifications, system requirements, and other design documentation
  • Proficiency across testing phases including test planning, execution, and closure; experienced in integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing
