*Must have Secret Clearance*Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Interface Engineer:
Lead in authoring the development of ICDs and IDDs, establishing new interfaces between external elements, including sensors, and other Command and Control Systems.
Ensure the ICDs and IDDs created adhere to the appropriate standards required of the program.
Develop various behavioral diagrams to understand and document the requirements.
Create detailed requirements, captured in DOORS, for clear understanding by the implementation teams.
Attend interface working group meetings with customer and representatives of assigned external element engineering organization.
Support program integration and test related efforts for the associated interface.
Required Skills for Interface Engineer:
Proven track record of successfully applying system engineering principles to develop product solutions.
Experience in requirements elicitation and use of behavior diagrams as an analysis tool to understand and decompose requirements.
Demonstrated skills and experience with interface engineering including authoring of ICDs and IDDs.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Experience working with IBM Rational's Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS).
Bachelor's Degree in Math, Science, Engineering, or Software Engineering. Master's Degree in an Engineering Discipline is a plus.
