The HSE Advisor position comes with a day rate of £450-475 per day, Outside IR35. Responsibilities and duties:
  • Dealing with day-to- day H&S requirements and compliance on site..
  • Prepared to challenge and give solutions.
  • implement the expected standards and advising contractors.
  • Manage H&S Training with H&S Manager
  • Controlling site H&S systems and have regular discussions on site about H&S performance with Site Managers and Contract Managers.

  • Lead execution of steel structure works, ensuring compliance with project drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Identify and address potential delays, technical challenges, or resource issues to avoid disruptions.
  • Supervise and coordinate the assembly, erection, and installation of steel structures in accordance with NAECI regulations and project specifications.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan and execute tasks effectively.
  • Must have experience supervising steel structure erection in infrastructure projects.
  • Must also hold an SSSTS / SMSTS and CSCS card.
  • NAECI (National Agreement for the Engineering Construction Industry) training or certification is also highly desirable for this role.

Responsibilities and duties:
  • Own and understand the details of the NAECI agreement for appropriate application, communication to all key stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with trade unions & ensure that the Company's treatment of employees is consistent with its core business values and objectives.
  • Work closely with the HR Manager and Collaboration Working Partner to involve and work with Subcontractors.
  • Investigate and resolve complex or critical industrial relations issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Support the Procurement team to ensure alignment of Subcontractors to the IR strategy whilst reviewing competency and right to work.
  • Organise and manage Council meetings whilst maintaining close relations with the ECIA and NJC
  • Manage and co-ordinate SPA throughout the Project Lifecycle
 Personal skills:

  • Experience in working on a NACEI (The National Agreement for the Engineering Construction Industry) project.

  • Acting as the office administrator for the site including managing office supplies, filing, organization of travel, recording and storing of documentation
  • Acting as the Facilities Assistant - maintaining the overall operation and upkeep of the site compound, ensuring all facilities are safe, clean, and fully functional. Supporting daily site activities, including managing utilities, coordinating maintenance tasks, and assisting with general site logistics.
  • Providing full administrative support to the Site Manager.

  • Keep the Site Manager informed of all site related activities.

  • Be aware of all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) requirements relevant to their role, and implements and complies with them
  • Generates accurate Site System Time Schedules (S-STS) for the execution phase on site, based on an overall project time schedule
  • Builds a Site System Time Schedule as an integrated construction project
  • Controls schedule, based on contract scope requirements. This should Thr The establish optimal work sequences, in co-operation with all those involved in the scope
  • Integrates all activities for the M&E construction and commissioning functions
