• Demonstrate leadership and commitment to HSEQ.  Actively encouraging and leading the contractor teams to implement and comply with project HSEQ requirements.
• Ensure that all relevant HSEQ requirements are incorporated into commissioning in consultation with site management, HSE and Commissioning team and that HSE hazards are eliminated or mitigated to the extent practicable
• Ensure that risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are reviewed with regards to HSEQ requirements, and that work is carried out in accordance with the RAMS
• Lead the commissioning within area of responsibility for the principal contractor and ensure works are executed in accordance with contract requirements, and conform with the approved drawings and standards, project time and budget
• Supervise and check the commissioning works being performed by the contractor in respect of timescales, HSEQ and compliance with the approved drawings and standards
• Liaise and coordinate with other project team members, the Commissioning Manager, Erection Supervisors, HSE and Commercial Dept regarding commissioning works on time delivery, at costs and according to the specified quality and HSE requirements
• Co-ordinates sub-contractor and vendor activities on site in line with programme and project requirements. Ensuring that sub-contractors are coordinated with other site works, material and all other requirements are in place in order for them to efficiently perform required tasks.
• Keep the Commissioning Manager / Site Manager informed of all activities

Astute’s Power team is partnering with a contractor in the Energy from Waste sector to recruit a HSE Advisor on a 10 month contract for its Belvedere site. The HSE Advisor role comes with a flexible rate.             Key skills  

• Demonstrates leadership and commitment to Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ)
• Intervenes in a strong and persuasive manner in HSE matters on site
• Can competently advise on HSE matters at all levels within the project organisation
• Provide technical support to the persons responsible for safety on the construction sites
• Administers the permit to work process when required
• Undertakes Level 1 accident investigations to a high standard and produce internal reports
• Undertake internal inspections and audits of the standards of HSE on site and the work practices employed
• Liaises with other HSE professionals (both internal and external) to achieve a positive HSE culture
• Provides regular HSE training / information for new employees
• Undertakes site HSE inductions on an ongoing basis
• Assists in emergency response at site · Assists in the organisation of medical examinations (i.e. drug and alcohol testing, etc) of all staff on site

• Deliver transactional HR services locally, aligned with Group P&C processes
• Manage personnel administration including contracts, onboarding/offboarding, and payroll interface
• Ensure local HR compliance with employment laws and Group governance
• Collaborate closely with global P&C colleagues to implement strategies and initiatives
• Must hold strong experience in HR Operations and Payroll Administration
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with HRIS knowledge as a plus
• IPASS (Irish Payroll Association Qualification) qualification ideal but not essential
• Irish employment Law also beneficial but not essential

Astute’s Power team is partnering with a leading principal contractor in the Energy from Waste sector who are looking to recruit a Commissioning BOP (Balance of Plant) Supervisor on a 12-month contract basis.        Key skills required for the Commissioning BOP Supervisor   

• Mechanical engineer with at least 5 years of experience in the commissioning of thermal power plants, EFW or similar. Having been responsible for the commissioning of the BOP in this type of plant.
• Leadership, teamwork skills and the ability to solve problems independently are characteristics that the candidate must possess.
• Must have Knowledge of logic diagrams and TFAs management skills will be valued
• Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, the candidate will be responsible for commissioning the BOP in collaboration with other disciplines, such as electrical, I&C, operations, etc and with the TFAs of the boiler supplier.
• Coordinating with the site LOTO responsible Senior Authorised Person for planning and implementation of all permits related activities

• Act as the office administrator for the site including office supplies, filing, organisation of travel, recording and storing of documentation.
• Act as project assistant for the site team (arrange travel, create documents).
• Welcome visitors and clients including arranging catering as required
• Keep the Site Manager informed of all site related activities. 
• Be aware of all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) requirements relevant to their role and implement and comply with them.
• Must hold administrative experience within Construction and hold good working knowledge on Microsoft applications

Astute’s Power team is partnering with a renewable energy provider with a commitment to professional development and sustainability to recruit a Civil Site Design Coordinator on a 12 month for its Fife site. The Civil Site Design Coordinator role comes with a day rate of £350-£425.                   Key skills  

• You are responsible for managing the design processes of subcontractors within the civil works on one of the construction sites in liaison with the Lead Engineer Civil at the Head Office.
• You are responsible for the civil works to be executed in accordance with the contract, and conform with project time, budget, HSE and quality requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil / structural engineering or architecture with at least 5 years of experience in the construction industry. Past working experiences with both consultants and contractors is an added advantage.
• Strong experience in civil project management and design coordination, preferably in large scale civil, industrial or plant business construction projects.
