• Demonstrate leadership and commitment to HSEQ.  Actively encouraging and leading the contractor teams to implement and comply with project HSEQ requirements.
• Ensure that all relevant HSEQ requirements are incorporated into commissioning in consultation with site management, HSE and Commissioning team and that HSE hazards are eliminated or mitigated to the extent practicable
• Ensure that risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are reviewed with regards to HSEQ requirements, and that work is carried out in accordance with the RAMS
• Lead the commissioning within area of responsibility for the principal contractor and ensure works are executed in accordance with contract requirements, and conform with the approved drawings and standards, project time and budget
• Supervise and check the commissioning works being performed by the contractor in respect of timescales, HSEQ and compliance with the approved drawings and standards
• Liaise and coordinate with other project team members, the Commissioning Manager, Erection Supervisors, HSE and Commercial Dept regarding commissioning works on time delivery, at costs and according to the specified quality and HSE requirements
• Co-ordinates sub-contractor and vendor activities on site in line with programme and project requirements. Ensuring that sub-contractors are coordinated with other site works, material and all other requirements are in place in order for them to efficiently perform required tasks.
• Keep the Commissioning Manager / Site Manager informed of all activities

Astute’s Power team is partnering with a contractor in the Energy from Waste sector to recruit a HSE Advisor on a 10 month contract for its Belvedere site. The HSE Advisor role comes with a flexible rate.             Key skills  

• Demonstrates leadership and commitment to Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ)
• Intervenes in a strong and persuasive manner in HSE matters on site
• Can competently advise on HSE matters at all levels within the project organisation
• Provide technical support to the persons responsible for safety on the construction sites
• Administers the permit to work process when required
• Undertakes Level 1 accident investigations to a high standard and produce internal reports
• Undertake internal inspections and audits of the standards of HSE on site and the work practices employed
• Liaises with other HSE professionals (both internal and external) to achieve a positive HSE culture
• Provides regular HSE training / information for new employees
• Undertakes site HSE inductions on an ongoing basis
• Assists in emergency response at site · Assists in the organisation of medical examinations (i.e. drug and alcohol testing, etc) of all staff on site
• Must be flexible to work nights and days
• Ideally hold experience within the Energy from Waste sector

Astute’s Power team is partnering with a leading insulation subcontractor in the Energy from Waste sector to recruit Thermal Insulation Labourers on a 10-month contract for its Essex site. The Thermal Insulation Labourer role comes with an hourly rate of £16.95.             Key skills  

• Work closely with Thermal Insulation Engineer on day -to – day basis
• Helping and support engineers on site with materials and general insulation works
• Adhere to all general H&S on site
• Must hold either CSCS / CCNSG
• Site experience in either Oil & Gas, Energy, Nuclear, Waste Management or similar

• Daily briefings via Fieldview

• Must hold Civils / RC background

• Carry out Electrical works on site, this will include working on High Voltage systems.

    Professional qualifications: We are looking for someone with the following:

• An Electrical Engineering qualification such as HNC/HND or Degree
• SSSTS / SCS or similar valid Safety Contractors Certificate
• Experience supervising construction of a large industrial plant
• Knowledge of Pressure Parts, ATEX knowledge and experience on High Voltage (11kV / 33kV) equipment 
• Relevant HSEQ knowledge relevant to industrial construction sites

    Personal skills: The Electrical Site Supervisor role would suit someone who is:

• Confident using Microsoft suite
• Can work well alone or as part of a team
• Self-Motivated

• Deliver transactional HR services locally, aligned with Group P&C processes
• Manage personnel administration including contracts, onboarding/offboarding, and payroll interface
• Ensure local HR compliance with employment laws and Group governance
• Collaborate closely with global P&C colleagues to implement strategies and initiatives
• Must hold strong experience in HR Operations and Payroll Administration
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with HRIS knowledge as a plus
• IPASS (Irish Payroll Association Qualification) qualification ideal but not essential
