This plant can produce up to 45MW of Power by processing up to 550,000 tonnes of waste per year, usually destined for landfill.   As an EC&I Technician you’ll be responsible for all reactive & preventative maintenance across a variety of critical equipment including DCS/SCADA Systems, PLC’s, drives, motors, switchgear etc. This is a permanent position which is offering a competitive starting salary of up to £55,000 depending on experience, plus bonus, overtime, call out payments & benefits package.                   Responsibilities and duties Reporting to the EC&I Maintenance Team Leader, as an EC&I Technician you will be responsible for:
  • Pre-planned and reactive maintenance duties on all electrical, controls and instrumentation assets across the power station

The plant, currently under construction, is capable of processing up to 350,000 tonnes of waste per year, producing power for up to 70,000 homes. This new build Power Station is due to enter commercial operation by the end of 2026. Now is an ideal time to join the power station as you’ll be involved in full plant commissioning, training & mobilisation. We are looking for an Operations Engineer to join the Operations Team on this brand new facility. As the Operations Engineer you’ll be providing day to day support to the Operations Manager & Shift Team Leaders with the safe & efficient operation of the plant. There will be a focus on improving efficiency & plant performance to meet contractual obligations in terms of availability & power production. Introduction

We are currently looking for a Level 3 Site Operative to join one of the leading Waste Management specialists in the UK. Working at their Plastic Recycling Facility in Avonmouth, the Site Operative will be responsible for supporting with the operating, inspecting and maintenance of static and mobile plant on-site.

This role involves working a 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern including night shifts, please only apply is this is suitable.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Level 3 Site Operative, you will be responsible for:

  • Operation of multiple machines involved in the recycling of plastics, mainly Extruders
  • Cleaning and performing basic maintenance tasks on machinery
  • Undertaking basic fault finding on machinery
  • Occasional cover at other waste facilities as required.
 

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Previous experience of operating mobile plant
  • Demonstrable experience working in a production environment (ideally recycling)
  • Experience operating an Extruder (desirable)
  • Strong understanding of health and safety
