  1. Role Accountabilities
3.1.      Establish and provide leadership in best practice in safety, health and Sustainability matters on the project 3.2.      Advise and support Directors, Managers and Supervisors to discharge their health and safety responsibilities regarding their employees and others to whom they have a duty as defined by legislation and HUK procedures. 3.3.      Ensure management controls are in place so that all personnel are aware of their statutory duties and responsibilities and to provide advice as and when required. 3.4.      Take a lead with site management teams to ensure compliance with all requirements stipulated by HUK 3.5.      Manage and carry out surveillance/ regular inspections/ audits of sites and workplaces to determine whether work is being carried out in accordance with HUK policy, procedures and the relevant statutory provisions. Where appropriate make recommendations for improvement. 3.6.      Lead, partake and oversee accident/ incident investigations in accordance with the HUK procedure and, analysing all data, making recommendations to avoid any reoccurrences. 3.7.      Manage, collate and review health and safety statistics on site to identify trends and areas for improvement. 3.8.      Develop and implement lessons learnt sessions, health and safety campaigns and improvement plans in agreement with HUK procedure. 3.9.      Manage and where required be involved in the preparation and review of documents including health and safety plans and procedures, methods statements and those of 3rd parties. 3.10.    Maintain records as necessary to ensure compliance with legislation, HUK Procedures and contract requirements 3.11.   Provide reports, presentations and information as directed by HUK 3.12.    Ensure compliance with all relevant schedule of partners KPIs 3.13.    Stop work at any time health and safety elements of the works are in question 3.14.   Develop, organise and oversee the induction process, ensuring everyone on site has attended a project induction and BRAVE training.

  • Hands on maintenance across the site on both fixed and mobile plant including compactors, shredders and on-site conveyor systems.
  • Maintaining pumps, motors, gearboxes, stirrers, mixers, and all associated plant.
  • Driving plant availability through carrying out PPMs, reactive maintenance, and engineering improvements across the site as well as installations.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and minimum downtime across the site.
  • Stay on top of site stock and spares.
