As a Manual Machinist, you’ll play a key role in the operation and maintenance of metal lathes and related machinery, ensuring that hydraulic components are repaired efficiently and safely. You’ll work closely with a small, skilled team to produce precision parts and keep equipment running smoothly.
What You’ll DoAs a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for:
Operating and maintaining manual metal lathes and other shop machinery
Running grinders and performing light welding as needed
Measuring, cutting, and machining components to precise specifications
Cleaning and maintaining a safe, organized work environment
Assisting in the repair and fabrication of hydraulic and pneumatic components
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Proven experience operating manual machining equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Comfort using pneumatic tools and hand tools safely and efficiently
Ability to lift and maneuver 40–50 lbs consistently
Ability to read and interpret measurements and convert fractions to decimals
No certifications required
