Key Responsibilities for the Facility Building Maintenance Attendant:Cleaning & Sanitation:
Perform general cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and scrubbing floors, walls, and furniture.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, conference rooms, and common areas, ensuring supplies are always stocked.
Perform deep cleaning tasks like washing windows, ceilings, and woodwork.
Sanitize high-touch surfaces, including doorknobs and elevator buttons, particularly for Covid-19 safety.
Maintenance & Repairs:
Assist with small building projects and light repairs, including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry work, and touch-up painting.
Report building maintenance issues to the Site Coordinator or Facilities Manager.
Event & Facility Support:
Help set up and clean up after facility events, including moving furniture and equipment.
Perform regular checks of the facility and report issues to the Site Coordinator/FM.
Supply Management:
Maintain custodial supply inventory, reorder materials, and distribute supplies as needed.
Refill coffee supplies and clean coffee machines.
Safety & Security:
Follow safety procedures and ensure the building is clean, organized, and safe.
Report any hazards or building concerns to the Site Coordinator/FM.
Required Skills and Abilities for the Facility Building Maintenance Attendant:Physical Strength: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, move furniture, and perform manual labor.

Perform routine weekly dryer cleanings: including the removal of cans/tubes and other machine parts from dryer basement, using water hoses to remove debris from inside the dryer, shoveling and sorting debris into proper waste boxes (by size and makeup), and replacing cleaned machine parts. Cleanup activity during down times, changeovers, and between shifts. Utilize measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, squares, and protractors to confirm dimensions and tolerances.
Quality Control & Inspection
Perform visual and dimensional inspections on completed welds to ensure they meet industry and project standards (AWS, ASME, or other applicable codes).
Identify and correct welding defects such as porosity, cracks, undercutting, and incomplete fusion.
Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) when required to verify weld integrity.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Minimum 5 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication.
Proficiency in MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), Stick (SMAW), and Flux-Core Arc Welding (FCAW).
Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols accurately.
Strong understanding of metallurgy, welding metallurgy, and heat treatment.
Experience operating and maintaining fabrication shop tools such as saws, grinders, drills, and press brakes.
Strong knowledge of structural welding, sheet metal fabrication, and pipe welding.
