As a Certified Flagger, you'll play a vital role in ensuring safe and smooth traffic flow around work zones, helping protect crews and the public alike. You'll work closely with construction and installation teams to set up and dismantle flagging stations, direct traffic using signs and signals, and support fiber optic installation efforts in remote or challenging locations. Your dedication will help keep projects on track, swiftly and safely.

What You’ll Do:

As a Certified Flagger, you will be responsible for:
  • Effectively directing traffic through the use of signs, hand signals, and flagging devices to safeguard workers and the public.
  • Setting up and removing flagging equipment daily to create secure work zones.
  • Transporting flagging materials, tools, and fiber reels to various job sites.
  • Lifting and spinning fiber reels and related equipment as needed for installation tasks.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized work area by collecting scrap materials and adhering to safety standards.
  • Accessing remote or rugged locations by navigating through brush or uneven terrain.
  • Assisting linemen with material handling and minor site tasks.
  • Strictly following safety protocols, including all state flagging rules and regulations, to ensure everyone's well-being.

What You’ll Bring:

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • The physical ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs, including bending, pushing, and pulling.
  • A valid Flagging Certification, which must be carried at all times during work hours.
  • The stamina to stand and walk for up to 8 hours a day.
  • Reliability, a strong work ethic, and punctuality.
  • Ability to bring your own lunch and water during long shifts.
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance, as driving company vehicles may be required.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening prior to employment.
