Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • CA Paramedic License
  • BLS - Basic Life Support certification
  • Two to three years of recent paramedic experience
  • Experience with dispatch systems and communication equipment

A Day in the Life

  • Respond to patient transfer requests via phone and radio
  • Coordinate transfers with healthcare facilities and medical staff
  • Operate multi-line telephone and radio communication systems
  • Assess patient needs and plan appropriate transfer modes
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff
  • Ensure accurate documentation and patient information review
