About the Job

Competitive Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour (DOE) Shift Days: Monday-Sunday (Rotating schedule including weekends) Shift Time: Rotating start times between 6:45am-9:00am Start Date: ASAP Department: Patient Access Services Location: Pleasanton, CA Duration: 26 weeks initially

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Patient Access or Patient Registration roles
• Strong understanding of insurance verification and eligibility, including Medicare, Medi-Cal, Workers’ Compensation, HMO, PPO, and POS plans
• Excellent customer service skills
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy setting

A Day in the Life

• Greet patients and assist with registration process
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility promptly
• Collect co-pays and deductibles securely
• Answer patient questions and resolve concerns professionally
• Document patient information accurately in the EPIC system
• Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth patient flow and registration accuracy
• Meet departmental productivity and accuracy goals
• Stay updated on health insurance programs and procedures
