In this role, you’ll support a public-sector, transportation-focused organization by maintaining and improving critical roadway GIS datasets. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys detailed editing work, data quality, and producing GIS deliverables that support real-world infrastructure decisions.

This is an onsite role in Darien, GA!

Position Overview for the GIS Technician:

  • Edit and maintain roadway GIS data using Esri ArcGIS, including both geometry and attribute updates
  • Review imagery and existing GIS data to identify roadway changes such as new/closed roads, reroutes, curbs, rumble strips, and related features
  • Create, update, and correct GIS features using ArcGIS editing tools within common GIS data formats (shapefiles and geodatabases)
  • Query, validate, and troubleshoot GIS data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with GIS standards
  • Produce maps, reports, and other GIS deliverables, leveraging tools such as ArcGIS Online as needed

Requirements for the GIS Technician:
