Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Switch Developer – HP Nonstop / Connex:Develop, enhance, and maintain applications on HP Nonstop using TAL and TACL programming languages
Leverage core HP Nonstop utilities such as Enscribe, Pathway, FUP, INSPECT, Enform, and Batchcom
Support and troubleshoot Connex utilities including LOGSCAN, AUDTSCAN, NMI, and CED
Analyze and resolve production issues in payment processing and switch environments
Collaborate with offshore and cross-functional teams to meet service delivery and support SLAs
Participate in scheme compliance efforts with payment networks (e.g., MasterCard, VISA)
Provide on-call support during off-hours for critical incidents
Follow structured SDLC or Agile methodologies to ensure quality and consistency
7+ years of experience in HP Nonstop development and production support
Strong knowledge of TAL, TACL, and HP Nonstop environment tools
Experience with Connex development or Base24 Classic
Deep understanding of payment switch systems and EFT transaction messaging (ISO8583)
Familiarity with HSM and other security modules in switching applications
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution skills
Experience with Agile/Scrum or structured SDLC practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
