Our plastics reprocessing facility in Avonmouth, Bristol will reprocess over 80,000 tonnes of plastic every year - more than 1.6 billion bottles, tubs, and trays – creating recycled raw material to return to the economy. Plastic recycling at the facility will save 126,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year, the equivalent of taking over 67,000 cars off the road

 

We have a new opportunity for an Execution Engineer to join our team at out new Polymers facility in Avonmouth, Bristol for 42.5 hours pr week, from Monday to Friday.

 

The salary for this role is circa £54,000 per year, plus participation in a yearly bonus scheme, where you could earn up to 10% of your base salary.

 

 

About the role

 

The Execution Engineer will be part of our multi-disciplinary maintenance team and will play an integral role in the delivery of the maintenance strategy at our Avonmouth Polymer Reprocessing Facility. The primary purpose of this role is the effective execution of breakdown and corrective maintenance work, as well as supporting the root cause analysis process to implement preventive actions to improve overall plant availability.

 

Working collaboratively with EC&I engineer, Mechanical Engineer and the Maintenance Planner, the Execution Engineer will lead the site multi-functional maintenance team to execute planned and reactive maintenance activities to ensure machine condition, availability and standards are maintained.

 

The Execution Engineer will provide technical support/governance to ensure improvement projects are executed to the correct standards and in line with site plan, as well as owning the statutory inspections.

 

In addition, this role will be responsible for ensuring a positive safety culture is upheld at all levels and financial targets are met within their department

 

What are we looking for?

 

  • Understanding in a mechanical/electrical engineering role from areas such as FMCG/ manufacturing/ waste management.
  • Full working understanding and ability to lead root cause analysis (RCA) and provide effective engineering solutions
  • Ability to successfully manage and deliver on multiple tasks with competing priorities and strict time lines
  • An experienced Mechanical/Electrical Engineer with relevant background and level of expertise, with a focus on plant maintenance
  • Experience of developing technical solutions from concept selection, through design development, installation and commissioning.
  • HNC/HND qualified in a Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or in a closely related subject

Roles & Responsibilities

As the Technical Asset Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Management of HV contracts and agreements associated with the sites, including ensuring all requirements are met and any breaches are managed on behalf of the owners.
  • Act as the point of contact for site owners, assisting with technical queries and making recommendation for any improvements.
  • Manage contractor performance to ensure obligations are met whilst measuring KPI’s to ensure value to the customer.
  • Complete any historical data and relevant documents to make available to the customer.
  • Work with stakeholders to plan, monitor and control operations to deliver business objectives within budget and company policies.

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Previous experience managing HV technical operations of onshore wind farms / solar farms or similar technologies.
  • Project management experience with excellent planning and reporting skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage contracts and agreements associated with the sites, is essential.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with ability to manage internal and external stakeholders, both through writing and verbally.
  • A degree in Engineering in High Voltage, Project Management or other relevant discipline is desired but not essential
  • A Full UK Drivers Licence is required

  • Screening and integration of engineering information into the project-controlled toolsets, thereby helping to ensure the integration and accuracy of the ILS dataset is maintained.
  • Supporting alignment of the ILS dataset with third party datasets
  • Investigating and responding to queries received by the project pertaining to the data held within our toolsets, as directed by the Project Manager / Helpdesk Lead
Core Duties
  • Screen engineering drawings to create a Product Breakdown Structure within the ILS toolset that is consistent with existing data held.

Functional knowledge

    Experience, knowledge, and personal skills The EC&I Technician role would suit someone who has:
  • Prior experience working in heavy process engineering environments such as Power (EfW, Biomass, CCGT, Coal, CHP, etc), Pharmaceutical, Chemicals, Steel Production, etc.
  • Having prior experience working with steam generation equipment will be highly advantageous.

The main purpose of the role would be to work in a team who will service and maintain their onshore wind turbines. To be considered for this role you must have Level 3 Electrical qualifications and be from the wind industry, or you’ll be from another sector performing electrical maintenance in a heavy industrial environment.

Reporting to the Field Area Manager, as a Wind Turbine Technician / Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for:
