Introduction

We are currently recruiting for an experienced on-site Industrial Services Manager to join one of the leading Waste Management specialists working within the Hazardous Waste sector across the UK. They are looking for an Industrial Services Manager to join their established team at their facility in Paisley, to support their hazardous waste treatment operations and industrial cleaning services to a number of clients across the north. This will be managing the daily running of its industrial service teams both on-site and off-site.

 

The Role

Working as the Industrial Services Manager, you will be responsible for delivering ongoing performance of the industrial service operations, including:
  • Daily management of the industrial services team, ensuring all work is completed in line with customer requirements., contract agreements and business processes.
  • Managing the safe, compliant and commercially sound day to day running of a busy industrial services team, driving operations in line with regulations, permits and operating licenses.

The Candidate

To be considered for this position, candidates must have previous operations management experience working within the Industrial Services or Hazardous Waste industry, with strong knowledge of the Industrial Services sector.

Candidates should have demonstrable success developing industrial service solutions and have an in-depth understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance, ideally holding an IOSH or NEBOSH certification.

Candidates will ideally be UHPWJ / HPWJ certified or have a good understanding of high-pressure water jetting services.

Due to the nature of the role, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and have a flexible attitude to work.

The role
  • To support the RA Business Manager in leading and managing the cradle to grave process of RA incineration at Fawley from initial enquiry through all phases of processing to final disposal, ensuring an efficient and professional service at all times.
  • Act as Radiation Protection Supervisor for Fawley site, providing appropriate training for site staff and contractors on radiation awareness, specific radiological hazards on site and monitoring for radiological contamination.
  • Producing radiological risk assessments and maintaining monitoring systems and documentation in line with IRR2017 to ensure the radiological protection of staff working on site
  • Develop and Maintain Work Instructions for all tasks associated with radioactive waste at Fawley, including the training & development of personnel in relation to handling radioactive materials and being the lead responsible person for dosimetry monitoring of staff members at Fawley.
  • To ensure compliance is maintained at all times against the sites Radioactive Environmental Permit with adherence to procedures, RPS control of operations and maintenance of accurate records including instrument calibration, site monitoring and routine safety checks.

Job Overview –

The TerraCycle Account Management Team seeks to hire a resourceful, autonomous and organised Account Manager to manage a portfolio of around 10-12 large and key accounts across Europe (mostly large FMCG brands) with a focus on the UK and France.

Their primary responsibility will be to manage the overall relationship with the client, the day to day running of recycling programmes and will ensure that all contractual obligations of the partnership are delivered to the right specifications and on time. They will oversee the launch of a recycling partnership and manage partnership projects where needed.

The role will be placed in the Account Management Team and will report to one of the Account Directors in the team.

The Account Manager will work closely with the Account Director to execute and deliver on set KPIs and strategies for growing revenue within their portfolio and expanding existing relationship and opportunities and ensure continuous renewals of partnerships. They will support the Account Director in building strategies for their portfolios and work on expanding existing relationships with key stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Strong knowledge and experience of implementing of project processes, systems, and tools and understanding of finance, budget, and project accounting. Project management Certification (PMQ, working toward PPQ or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of relevant ISO standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001,19443) and working knowledge of IMS systems
  • Technical knowledge of some area of the business (engineering, manufacturing, supply of equipment, site management)
  • Have very good understanding of finance, budget, and cost management
  • A comprehensive understanding of the health, safety and environmental requirements of managing project (incl. CDM regulation)
  • Experience and understanding of commercial and contract management (incl. NEC, FIDIC, ad hoc, etc.)
  • Working experience with ERP (SAP preferrable)
