Astute are partnered with a business who develop, engineer, finance, construct, operate and maintain large scale solar photovoltaic projects. Globally, the company are approaching 2GWp of connected solar projects and we’re looking to add an England-based PM to join the team to facilitate the continued growth of the business.

Roles & Responsibilities

As the Construction/Site Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • On site management of utility scale Solar PV and Battery Storage projects.
  • Reviewing works against quality and contractual requirements.
  • Responsibility for ensuring the highest HSQE standards are always maintained on site and in compliance with UK HSE and CDM regulations.
  • Timely preparation of site HSE, progress and quality reporting.
  • Coordination of subcontractors and all on site activities.
  • Ensure site documentation is prepared and delivered for project handover and O&M or safety file compilation.
  • Identify and escalate any risks to budget, programme or quality to Project Management team.
  • Manage materials, logistics and deliveries on site.
  • Interface management between stakeholders including: ICP, subcontractors, landowners, DNO’s, Client etc.

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering or technical discipline.
  • Experience with Renewable Energy technologies in the UK, preferably Solar PV and/or Battery Storage.
  • SMSTS trained.
  • Black CSCS card preferable.
  • Strong preference for NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK).
  • First Aid trained a plus.
  • Fluent in English. German speaking a plus.
  • Self-starter with commitment to self-development and passion for renewable energy.
  • Flexible – the role will require managing a number of sites, staying locally for the construction phase.
  • Desire to work in an international Company.

Description

Hydro-X Air comprises of dedicated teams of two working remotely to deliver ventilation Ductwork cleaning and other air hygiene services to our customers.

Location: Field Based, will be expected to travel within the region

Working Hours: 45hours per week, some weeks will be working days, others will be night working and some weekend work will be required. Schedulers aim to plan jobs up to 2 weeks in advance where possible. Requirements

Main Duties

The duties will include, but are not limited to, working within the guidance provided by TR19 and associated company documents, and guidance, to ensure that any work on site is safe and free from the risks.

You may be expected to undertake some or all of the work below:

  • Carry out kitchen extract system cleaning and canopy cleans in accordance with TR19 Grease.
  • Carry out ventilation systems cleaning in accordance with TR19.
  • Installation of access doors into ventilation system in accordance with DW144.
  • Carry out inspection of the Fire dampers in accordance with BS9999
  • Follow a preventative maintenance program as instructed.
  • Maintain personal equipment & chemical stocks inventories.
  • You will also be expected to undertake any other duties associated to the output of the Regional Team as required.

 

Your knowledge

The appointee must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

  • Ventilation systems management in accordance with TR19 Grease.

Introduction

We are currently recruiting for an experienced on-site Industrial Services Manager to join one of the leading Waste Management specialists working within the Hazardous Waste sector across the UK. They are looking for an Industrial Services Manager to join their established team at their facility in Paisley, to support their hazardous waste treatment operations and industrial cleaning services to a number of clients across the north. This will be managing the daily running of its industrial service teams both on-site and off-site.

 

The Role

Working as the Industrial Services Manager, you will be responsible for delivering ongoing performance of the industrial service operations, including:
  • Daily management of the industrial services team, ensuring all work is completed in line with customer requirements., contract agreements and business processes.
  • Managing the safe, compliant and commercially sound day to day running of a busy industrial services team, driving operations in line with regulations, permits and operating licenses.
  • Managing performance and growth in line with company targets, ensuring customer service excellence is always achieved.
  • Monitoring resource plans against predicted workloads, projects and commercial requirements. Ensuring the team achieves against business plans and budgets.
  • Continued development of the industrial services operations, building growth strategies in line with sales activity and projected work.
  • Market knowledge on competitor developments in relation to technologies, projects, equipment and trends.
  • Hands-on involvement where required to support the jetting team and services team both at Paisley and across 3rd party sites.
  • Ensuring all assets (equipment, vehicles and plant) is maintained and operating effectively, working with maintenance teams or reporting issues where necessary.

The Candidate

To be considered for this position, candidates must have previous operations management experience working within the Industrial Services or Hazardous Waste industry, with strong knowledge of the Industrial Services sector.

Candidates should have demonstrable success developing industrial service solutions and have an in-depth understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance, ideally holding an IOSH or NEBOSH certification.

Candidates will ideally be UHPWJ / HPWJ certified or have a good understanding of high-pressure water jetting services.

Due to the nature of the role, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and have a flexible attitude to work.
