About the role:

Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a leading energy service provider who specialises in providing a range of EPC services including the development, construction, and operation of solar power plants within the renewable industry. Responsibilities and duties:

Reporting to the Head of Project Management you will:

Provide the critical link between the delivery and engineering teams to ensure smooth transition of key project information.

Take a significant role in preparing key Solar PV and/or BESS design elements and functional specifications, including: SLD’s, inverter and transformer sizing, cable sizing and routing, communications and networking, interconnection to ICP works etc.

Management of third-party consultants for design review, industry standard guidance and quality management services.

Support the preparation of project tender information. Additionally, prepare subcontractor or suppliers’ specifications and scope of works for contracting including component selection.

Provide support and oversight for project commissioning and completion of contractual performance testing. Identify necessary resources and ensure supplier and subcontractor commissioning is completed in line with contractual requirements.

·         Contribute to and maintain all required project documentation including as built for operational handover.

Identify and escalate any risks to budget, programme, or quality to Senior Management.

Support Project Managers with preparation of progress reports, project timelines and budget management.

Provide support and mentorship to wider Engineering team to increase familiarity with Solar PV technologies.

Professional qualifications:

We are looking for someone with the following:

Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent qualification with demonstratable Solar PV/BESS experience.

Experience with Renewable Energy technologies in the UK is mandatory.

Familiarity with E: Plan, PVSyst, AutoCAD or equivalent software is a plus.

Proficient IT skills. Familiarity with MS Office suite. Experience of MS Project, Jira and Confluence a plus.

Personal skills:

Roles & Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Technical Sales Manager, as a Technical Sales Advisor, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Answering incoming calls and emails from prospective and existing clients whilst providing technical sales advice off the back of process bulk and packages customer enquiries.
  • Arranging the hazpack chemist visit and ensuring that the collection of samples and lab results are provided back to the client and uploaded to the system within an agreed timeframe.
  • Obtaining all technical information and providing a technical sales quote to the client
  • Working alongside the companies depot and company suppliers to ensure the best value options are provided to the clients for their hazardous waste requirements.
  • Offering first class hazardous waste advice to clients as well as providing a fantastic level of customer service.
  • Ensuring that personal KPI’s and targets are met

The Job

Working as the Analytical Chemist, you will be responsible for:
  • Performing various analytical tests on waste samples coming onto site.
  • Running and maintaining instrumentation within the Laboratory, including GC-MS/FID and ICP-OES.
  • Ensuring all work complies with relevant HSE, Quality, Regulatory and Accreditation standards (UKAS, ISO 17025).
  • Sample preparation, extraction and clean-up using various techniques.
  • Calculation of results from testing and data entry into the company system.
  • Performing daily checks including balances, pipettes and instruments.
  • Sampling of incoming waste streams for compliance.
  • Work with senior teams to ensure site and lab KPI’s are met.

The Candidate

To be considered for this position, candidates are expected to have an appropriate chemistry qualification to degree level as well as experience handling a diverse range of chemical compounds.

 

Candidates would ideally have some experience in Analytical Chemistry and Statistical Analysis as a good understanding of working in an operational laboratory.   

 

This role would suit a recent Chemistry graduate who is looking to utilise their knowledge in a hands-on role in the waste/ hazardous waste industry.

Description

Hydro-X Air comprises of dedicated teams of two working remotely to deliver ventilation Ductwork cleaning and other air hygiene services to our customers.

Location: Field Based, will be expected to travel within the region

Working Hours: 45hours per week, some weeks will be working days, others will be night working and some weekend work will be required. Schedulers aim to plan jobs up to 2 weeks in advance where possible. Requirements

Main Duties

The duties will include, but are not limited to, working within the guidance provided by TR19 and associated company documents, and guidance, to ensure that any work on site is safe and free from the risks.

You may be expected to undertake some or all of the work below:

  • Carry out kitchen extract system cleaning and canopy cleans in accordance with TR19 Grease.
  • Carry out ventilation systems cleaning in accordance with TR19.
  • Installation of access doors into ventilation system in accordance with DW144.
  • Carry out inspection of the Fire dampers in accordance with BS9999
  • Follow a preventative maintenance program as instructed.
  • Maintain personal equipment & chemical stocks inventories.
  • You will also be expected to undertake any other duties associated to the output of the Regional Team as required.

 

Your knowledge

The appointee must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

  • Ventilation systems management in accordance with TR19 Grease.
  • Ventilation cleaning techniques in accordance with TR19

Globally, the company are approaching 2GWp of connected solar projects and we’re looking to add an England-based PM to join the team to facilitate the continued growth of the business.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Senior Management, as a Project manager, you will be responsible for:

· Managing a project from inception to completion, ensuring it is delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

· Undertaking site surveys to establish local conditions which impact design, as well as researching local supply costs for inclusion in the project budget.

· Working with the design & engineering team to review all project documents and information provided by the client/developer and throughout the design process

· Working with the Estimators and Engineers to prepare a detailed project budget, which needs to be closely monitored throughout the life of the project

· Develop a detailed program of works (PoW) to track progress

· Preparation of supplier and subcontractor contracts

· Manage and supervise site engineers & subcontractors PoW and scope.

· Ensuring appropriate availability and allocation of resources

· Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly progress reports.

· Manage project implementation activities, ensuring QHSE standards are met.

· Perform risk assessments on the project and proactively solve any matters encountered on site in conjunction with the site engineers.

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:
  • A degree / HND / HNC in a relevant field, ie electrical, mechanical, civil engineering etc
  • Project Management certification would be advantageous
  • Minimum of 3 years experience project managing Battery Storage and/or Solar PV projects
  • A valid UK driving licence
  • Any form of additional, higher-level sales experience would be advantageous
