EC&I Manager Protos EFW, Ellesmere Port 12 month contract About the role: Astute’s Power team is partnering with the joint venture EPC to recruit an EC&I Manager on a 12 month contract for a new build Energy from Waste in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. The scope of work includes the following:  
  • The Scope-of-Supply with SBG may be summarised as follows:
  • 2 stream boiler and grate incineration plant
  • 2 flue gas treatment plants incl. stack
  • Steel structure
  • Waste cranes
  • EC&I systems
  • Several equipment (ie. fans, tanks, vessels, boiler cleaning devices, etc.)
  • Heat and noise insulation- Refractory lining
  • Overall field of responsibility shall include:
  • Management of the delivery and installation of EC&I Installation packages;
  • Coordination with the Site and Project Management Team in terms of EC&I Installations;
  • Manage and control the flow of documents, information and project documents including SBG deliverables, technical queries, third party documents and client documents between the SBG Team and the related EC&I sub-contractor(s);
  • Coordination of all interfaces between all individual suppliers/ EC&I installation; companies involved in project site activities;
  • Responsible for ensuring that project team members always have accurate and up-to-date information about the EC&I scope;
  • Supervision and inspection of EC&I installation progress;
  • Assist the Site Management Team with all EC&I related Risk and Method
  • Statements (RAMS) in accordance with agreed process;
  • Compilation of turnover packages and SATs;
  • Assist in development of commissioning RAMS, procedures and ITP’s;

Working as their Stock Control Chemist, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations across the waste facility ensuring all waste is managed, labelled and recorded correctly to ensure safe and compliance waste processing at all times.   The Role Working as their Senior Site Chemist, you will be responsible for:
  • Supporting the chemist team, ensuring materials coming onto and off-site are consistently safe and are compliant in-line with site permits and environmental regulations.
  • Compiling lists of wastes’ to be transferred off site to third party disposal points and ensuring all waste is labelled appropriately.
  • Carrying out all stock control duties within the site, managing levels of waste on site and reporting these regularly to the management team.
  • Assisting with non- conformance procedures for any unlabelled or incorrect waste materials, utilising appropriate systems to manage non-compliances.
  • Ensuring the operation of a hazardous waste transfer station is able to receive and dispatch loads making sure environmental compliance is abided to.
