Our Client is a leading EPC in the renewable energy field and Power Generation sector, who are consistently bidding and gaining new projects in the Energy from Waste sector in the UK. Currently they have a requirement for a Lead Commissioning Engineers to lead a team of Engineers and Technicians throughout the commissioning of the project. We are looking for candidates with building services experience.As Lead Commissioning Engineer, you will bring demonstrable commissioning experience and practical skills to the commissioning team. Working closely with the Commissioning team, you will be responsible for planning, executing and documenting of commissioning and handover activities on the project and programme of works in a safe manner, fully in accordance with company processes, systems, procedures and specifications.

Brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main MEH, cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s 2,500 rooms.
Who we are looking for?
As a Cabling & Equipment Project Manager, we are looking for someone with experience as a project manager on a major electrical project. We require someone with a background in delivering design and manufacturing projects whilst liaising with a multitude of suppliers.
Candidates that have worked in a nuclear environment are ideal however this is not a prerequisite.
What will you be doing?
• Working as part of the electrical team • Delivery of design, procurement and manufacture of electrical systems • Manage cabling & equipment suppliers • Ensuring cabling & equipment is kept on time, to cost and to high quality • Ensuring suppliers have the information they need
The experience you’ll bring
• Degree in relevant engineering subject or appropriate level of experience • Experience of working on a similar electrical project • Experience on a construction site is desirable • Prince 2 practitioner beneficial • Will need to be have or be able to obtain necessary security clearance
