The purpose of the role is to carry out effective ground works on the ground mounted and floating solar farms, to help maintain production levels and adhere to planning regulations.

 

Role and Responsibilities

The Ground Maintenance Technician will be responsible for:
  • Responsible for the ground maintenance works of solar farms including grass cutting, hedge cutting, spraying, strimming, floating structure maintenance & vegetation removal
  • To undertake Solar panel cleaning, using a specifically designed tractor mounted rotating brush and pressurized water system. As well as handheld rotating machinery for the floating array
  • Undertake trenching, digging, fence repairs and other manual tasks to assist the Field Service Engineers with repairs and alterations to sites
  • Basic maintenance of ground maintenance equipment
  • Being able to stay away overnight, expenses pre-paid, 2-3 nights a week at peak times.

 

Skills and Qualifications
