Primary Purpose of the Job: Prepare steel surfaces for painting and apply paint utilizing a paint spray gun in a spray booth. Position involves a great deal of forklift usage. This position also cross-trains with the Industrial Coating Technician who prepares steel surfaces and parts for coating and coats the structures. 1st Shift  $20-23/hr Essential Duties:
  • Review and analyze orders for accuracy/applicability;
  • Inspect steel structures for dents or areas that need additional prep; Repair or prep accordingly;
  • Grind steel surfaces using hand-held grinders and tools to prepare surfaces for paint;
  • Apply primer to prepare parts and structure for paint;
  • Mix paint and hardeners appropriately;
  • Apply paint coats utilizing a paint spray gun in accordance with company specifications;
  • Operate a forklift to hold/manipulate structure(s); apply plastisol to steel structures; and adhere plastisol to structure using an industrial oven to “bake” coating;
  • Ensure complete, seamless and even plastisol coating of all structures and parts; all interior chamber shell sides, as well as chamber edges and trough.
  • Observe health safety by wearing prescribed protective masks and/or breathing apparatus during processes;
  • Maintain inventory levels of coated and/or painted chamber shells.
  • Perform routine machine, equipment, and facility maintenance.
  • Keep all work areas clean and organized.
  • Document time and material for parts and equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To set up and operate slitting machines according to the appropriate “machine operator’s manual” under direction of the Group Leader.
  • Carry and supply materials to the machines.
  • Remove the finished product from the machine. Supplies and finished goods of up to 38 lbs. must be lifted about 75 times per shift. (Maximum weight to be lifted is 50lbs.)
  • Group Leaders will determine the machine each operator is assigned to. Operators will be cross trained to operate different machines.

Position Overview:

As a Cabinet Maker you will be responsible for crafting custom cabinetry and architectural millwork based on approved shop drawings. Key Responsibilities:
