Position Summary: The Machine Operator is a position that assists the Overwrap dept in operating and monitoring Overwrap equipment during operation to ensure quality production Key Responsibilities:Adjust machines as needed for changeovers
Conduct quality checks.
Observe and monitor input/output accuracy and efficiency of machine.
Check the expansion symbol to ensure the form is the correct project
Keep daily activity log of production notes ( including totals and defects)
Ensure counts are accurate
Ensure clean, neat and orderly area
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to read and follow written work instructions on job jackets, understand product labeling
Ability to maintain great attendance and tardy records Skills:
Proficiency with intranet and management information systems.
Effective communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Physical Requirements:

Essential Job Responsibilities
• Carrying out repair, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting work. • Assist in troubleshooting equipment systems with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
• Assist in the disassembly and assembly of electrical components. • Fabrications of welded structures, machines, and spare parts with processing machines.
• Assembly of jigs and machines according to drawings, sketches, samples, or instructions.
• Perform welding, cutting, grinding etc. to repair and modify machinery. • Performs installations and aligns new machinery.
• Repairs existing presses, gear boxes and facility as needed.
• Performs Preventative Maintenance (PM) and work orders as directed. • Uses proper Lock Out, Tag Out (LOTO) and other safety procedures. • Uses proper procedure when pulling parts form stores.
• Instruct and communicate in a positive manner with operators and set-up personnel.
• Support the proper documentation activities.
• Perform 5s activities.
• Responsible for total quality of products and services and authorized to stop work when a nonconformance is noted.
• Perform assigned quality system functions as specified in QMS procedures. • Perform other responsibilities as determined by the supervisor.
• Observe established EHS regulations, procedures, and practices.
Education and Experience
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 2 years mechanical maintenance or similar skills base.

Physical Requirements
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud; hearing protection is provided and required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, coolant, or airborne particles and will work near moving mechanical parts.
• Ability to lift/move 50 pounds regularly. Occasionally life and/or move more than 100 pounds.
• Ability to perform excessive walking, standing, bending, climbing, reaching, grasping, and lifting.

We are seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist for a machining position for our client, a custom machining manufacturer located in Youngstown, OH. The CNC Lathe Machinist will be involved with set up and operating. The CNC Lathe Machinist will need 2+ years experience with CNC lathe work.

Read and understand blueprints and use necessary measuring devices and equipment to make or modify existing tooling for new and/or existing jobs.
