Alliance Industrial Solutions has partnered with a leading manufacturer of high-end architectural millwork and custom cabinetry and we are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cabinet Maker to join their team. This is a full time, direct hire position in Charlotte, NC.
Pay: $27/hr - $30/hr BOE
Shift: 6am - 2:30pm Mon-Fri (some OT may be required)
Position Overview:
As a Cabinet Maker you will be responsible for crafting custom cabinetry and architectural millwork based on approved shop drawings. Your role will be critical in ensuring that components are accurately fabricated, assembled, and prepared for finishing and installation. Precision, quality control, and adherence to approved plans are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and work from detailed shop drawings without deviation unless directed by the Shop Foreman
- Layout projects and prepare comprehensive cut lists
- Fabricate and assemble custom components including bases, end panels, moldings, doors, drawers, and tops
- Disassemble units for finishing and label all parts accurately to aid in reassembly and installation
- Conduct ongoing quality checks to ensure accuracy and functionality throughout all phases
- Track time by project phase using Smartsheet codes for scheduling and reporting
- Maintain accurate daily time sheets and submit for review
- Coordinate with Shop and Project Managers on potential issues related to design, fabrication, or time constraints
- Ensure safe and proper use of materials, tools, and equipment
- Report any equipment or tool issues to Shop Managers
- Create "as built" notes for final records and provide a copy to the installation team
Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience as a cabinet maker or woodworker in a production or custom shop setting
- Must have your own hand tools (basic power tools are provided)
- Some overtime may be required. This typically means staying late during the week.
- Strong understanding of woodworking machinery, hand tools, and fabrication techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Familiarity with time tracking systems like Smartsheet is a plus
- Experience with other equipment such as mills, lathes, shapers etc. is a plus
