Maintenance Tech - 3rd shift  Starting rate: $35 to $38/hr with extra $2/hr for 3rd shift 3rd shift: 10pm to 6:30am  Newbury, OH national manufacturer within the plastics industry is currently adding staff for a 3rd shift Maintenance Tech.  

Maintenance position works under limited supervision to conduct major repairs to production and support equipment, HVAC equipment, boiler systems, fire protection systems and building management systems. In addition, has first level knowledge of building electrical and water infrastructure. 

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Safely and competently performs troubleshooting, repairs, and inspections on a variety of manufacturing equipment, in both inside and outdoor applications in a continuous operational environment.
  2. Analyzes and interprets one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, sketches and drawings to select a logical approach to troubleshooting, tracing and testing circuits to determine repair or replacement of electrical components. 
  3. Inspect, repair, install and wire all electrical devices and circuits, up to and including 480V
  4. Maintains heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems through the diagnosis, repair and replacement of fan motors, burners and thermostats.
  5. Maintains water quality by conducting routine checks and performs water analysis as required of all water sources.
  6. In coordination with outside contractors, monitors the wastewater operations and troubleshoots issues to ensure efficiency of operations.
  7. Performs electrical troubleshooting and modifies existing electrical circuits as required. Working knowledge of test equipment and procedures.
  8. Manages the building management systems and fire protection systems, pumps and alarm panels.
Competencies:
  • Ability to troubleshoot up to the PLC, replace with a new unit, load program and confirm proper operation.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for building and machine maintenance, continuous improvement initiatives.

 

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Regular building maintenance and repairs

Essential Job Responsibilities 

• Carrying out repair, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting work. • Assist in troubleshooting equipment systems with mechanical, hydraulic, and  pneumatic components.  

• Assist in the disassembly and assembly of electrical components. • Fabrications of welded structures, machines, and spare parts with processing  machines. 

• Assembly of jigs and machines according to drawings, sketches, samples, or  instructions. 

• Perform welding, cutting, grinding etc. to repair and modify machinery. • Performs installations and aligns new machinery.

• Observe established EHS regulations, procedures, and practices. 

Education and Experience 

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 

• 2 years mechanical maintenance or similar skills base.

Physical Requirements
