The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for building and machine maintenance, continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Job Responsibilities
• Carrying out repair, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting work. • Assist in troubleshooting equipment systems with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
• Assist in the disassembly and assembly of electrical components. • Fabrications of welded structures, machines, and spare parts with processing machines.
• Assembly of jigs and machines according to drawings, sketches, samples, or instructions.
• Perform welding, cutting, grinding etc. to repair and modify machinery. • Performs installations and aligns new machinery.
• Repairs existing presses, gear boxes and facility as needed.
• Performs Preventative Maintenance (PM) and work orders as directed. • Uses proper Lock Out, Tag Out (LOTO) and other safety procedures. • Uses proper procedure when pulling parts form stores.
• Instruct and communicate in a positive manner with operators and set-up personnel.
• Support the proper documentation activities.
• Perform 5s activities.
• Responsible for total quality of products and services and authorized to stop work when a nonconformance is noted.
• Perform assigned quality system functions as specified in QMS procedures. • Perform other responsibilities as determined by the supervisor.
• Observe established EHS regulations, procedures, and practices.
Education and Experience
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 2 years mechanical maintenance or similar skills base.
Required Skills and Abilities
• Use of hand tools
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Must work effectively in a team.
• Must have excellent attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud; hearing protection is provided and required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, coolant, or airborne particles and will work near moving mechanical parts.
• Ability to lift/move 50 pounds regularly. Occasionally life and/or move more than 100 pounds.
• Ability to perform excessive walking, standing, bending, climbing, reaching, grasping, and lifting.
• Ability to visually inspect parts and use of hands to use measuring gauges. • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. • Ability to run machines and equipment safely and efficiently.
