Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Pay: Up to $35/hr Hours: 3rd Shift 7:30pm to 6:00am (Sunday - Thursday) Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for our client, a metal processor located in Valley City, OH. The Maintenance Technician will maintain the metal processing equipment. The Maintenance Technician will troubleshoot and repair metal processing equipment.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Repair and troubleshoot in pneumatics, hydraulics, overhead cranes, forklifts, hoists, 3-phase motors, variable speed drives, and controls, welding & cutting, and heavy industrial wiring.
• Repair and rebuild electrical and mechanical components.
• Installation, modification, and fabrication of equipment and systems to meet production needs and schedules.
• Perform Total Preventative Maintenance to all machinery and equipment as scheduled.
• Ability to learn processes, equipment specifications, and company standards by actively consulting resources, associates, manuals, training department,  and policies.
• Participate in continuous improvement in safety, quality, and housekeeping.

The ideal candidate for this role will have: 

• High School Diploma or Equivalent 
• 5+ years of experience
• Electrical & mechanical maintenance

Maintenance Tech - 3rd shift  Starting rate: $35 to $38/hr with extra $2/hr for 3rd shift 3rd shift: 10pm to 6:30am  Newbury, OH national manufacturer within the plastics industry is currently adding staff for a 3rd shift Maintenance Tech.  

Maintenance position works under limited supervision to conduct major repairs to production and support equipment, HVAC equipment, boiler systems, fire protection systems and building management systems. In addition, has first level knowledge of building electrical and water infrastructure. 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safely and competently performs troubleshooting, repairs, and inspections on a variety of manufacturing equipment, in both inside and outdoor applications in a continuous operational environment.
2. Analyzes and interprets one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, sketches and drawings to select a logical approach to troubleshooting, tracing and testing circuits to determine repair or replacement of electrical components. 
3. Inspect, repair, install and wire all electrical devices and circuits, up to and including 480V
4. Maintains heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems through the diagnosis, repair and replacement of fan motors, burners and thermostats.
5. Maintains water quality by conducting routine checks and performs water analysis as required of all water sources.
6. In coordination with outside contractors, monitors the wastewater operations and troubleshoots issues to ensure efficiency of operations.
7. Performs electrical troubleshooting and modifies existing electrical circuits as required. Working knowledge of test equipment and procedures.
8. Manages the building management systems and fire protection systems, pumps and alarm panels.

Competencies:

• Ability to troubleshoot up to the PLC, replace with a new unit, load program and confirm proper operation.

CNC Milling Machinist - 3rd shift Euclid, OH military/defense manufacturer which is a leading producer of the high-performance metals including tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum, niobium and other specialty metals is currently hiring for 3rd shift CNC Milling Machinists. The CNC Milling Machinist will operate advanced CNC machines that can move along axes (3-axis to 5-axis) simultaneously to produce complex, high-precision parts. This includes cutting, turning, drilling, milling, reaming, boring of metallic and nonmetallic work pieces. 3rd shift position, with training on 1st shift for approximately 30-60 days; 3rd shift hours are 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM. Starting rate: $30 to $32 hour Job responsibilities include: Reads and interprets blueprints, routing sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings and machining methods and sequences. Estimates requirements for time, tooling, and material to complete job. Designs and fabricates fixtures as needed. Documents programs for ISO compliance. Sets up job by loading control media in machine controller or enters commands to retrieve pre-programmed instructions from database, prepares and presets all tools. Enters commands or manually adjust machine controls to correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining. Operates, maintains and monitors machine operations which may include tool changing, offsetting and slight adjustments to meet customer specifications. Verifies that fixture setup meets acceptable quality standards regarding turning, milling and boring sizes, depths, angles, or other specifications. Qualifications: 5+ years previous CNC machining (3-axis, 5-axis) The ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and layouts, understand general tolerances, utilize measuring equipment (optical comparator, micrometers, dial calipers, dial indicators and any necessary inspection equipment) and computer software programs.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for building and machine maintenance, continuous improvement initiatives.

 

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Regular building maintenance and repairs
• Supervise & develop building and grounds employees
• Identify & realize cost improvement opportunities
• Vendors relationships to maximize value & mitigate risk to the company
• Remodeling/ expansion projects of the building.
• Maintain the aesthetics and cleanliness of the facility (interior and exterior)
• Manage and direct the cleaning activities
• Maintain a safe environment for building occupants and visitors
• Conduct regular building inspections and prepare reports
• Ensure facility complies with applicable policies, regulations, building codes and expectations
• Hire and discipline all department employees
• Develop employees through performance management system and career path or development plans
• Resolve personnel issues and/or conflicts
• Open and close building as required
• Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors Degree preferred or demonstrated equivalent of 5+ years work experience
• 3+ years of Facilities leadership experience
• Strong computer software skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)
• Effective communication, influencing skills and decision-making ability
• Trouble shooting experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience establishing programs and processes to improve equipment preventative maintenance programs
