Job Title: Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for our client, a metal processor located in Valley City, OH. The Maintenance Technician will maintain the metal processing equipment. The Maintenance Technician will troubleshoot and repair metal processing equipment.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:
  • Repair and troubleshoot in pneumatics, hydraulics, overhead cranes, forklifts, hoists, 3-phase motors, variable speed drives, and controls, welding & cutting, and heavy industrial wiring.
  • Repair and rebuild electrical and mechanical components.
  • Installation, modification, and fabrication of equipment and systems to meet production needs and schedules.
  • Perform Total Preventative Maintenance to all machinery and equipment as scheduled.
  • Ability to learn processes, equipment specifications, and company standards by actively consulting resources, associates, manuals, training department,  and policies.
  • Participate in continuous improvement in safety, quality, and housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Safely and competently performs troubleshooting, repairs, and inspections on a variety of manufacturing equipment, in both inside and outdoor applications in a continuous operational environment.

  6. In coordination with outside contractors, monitors the wastewater operations and troubleshoots issues to ensure efficiency of operations.
  7. Performs electrical troubleshooting and modifies existing electrical circuits as required. Working knowledge of test equipment and procedures.
  8. Manages the building management systems and fire protection systems, pumps and alarm panels.
