What You’ll Do

  • Reviewing blueprints and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to determine material requirements and task sequences.
  • Verifying material conformance using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes.
  • Laying out and marking workpiece bending and cutting lines while accounting for material thickness and welding shrinkage.
  • Moving workpieces manually or using forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Setting up and operating fabrication equipment such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, grinders, and drill presses.
  • Clamping, tack-welding, grinding, bolting, and welding parts in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
  • Monitoring welding processes to prevent warping, overheating, distortion, or material defects.
  • Inspecting completed weldments to ensure quality and specification compliance.
  • Acting as a crane operator and following all crane safety protocols.
What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • 2–5+ years of experience in steel fabrication or welding (or demonstrated intermediate to advanced skill level).
  • Working knowledge of MIG welding.
  • Understanding of welding characteristics and physical properties of various metals.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly blueprints.
  • Welding or fabrication certification/degree (preferred).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for most of the shift.
  • Consistent attendance, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
  • Qualified welders out of welding school are encouraged to apply, but you will be weld-tested to judge skill.

As a Roof Loader, you'll support daily operations by assisting with loading, unloading, and preparing roofing materials while maintaining a strong focus on safety. You'll collaborate with your team to ensure timely deliveries and a smooth workflow, helping provide excellent service to our clients in Eugene and surrounding areas.

What You’ll Do

As a Roof Loader, you will be responsible for:
  • Collaborating with team members to load and securely strap roofing materials onto delivery trucks.
  • Assisting in setting up job sites to promote safety, including organizing materials and preparing work areas.
  • Setting ladders according to OSHA standards to ensure safe roof access.
  • Installing toe boards and fall protection systems as needed, following safety protocols rigorously.
  • Clearing debris from roofs and work areas to facilitate smooth material deliveries.
  • Unloading pallets of roofing materials carefully, placing them onto boards with precision.
  • Properly setting boards for secure material placement, adhering to safety and quality standards.

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Physical strength and stamina to handle materials weighing up to 75 lbs repeatedly.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including rain, heat, or cold.
  • Comfort and confidence working on ladders and across roofs of different heights and pitches.
  • A positive attitude and teamwork spirit, with a focus on safety and accuracy.

Location & Schedule

This on-site position is based in Eugene, Oregon, with a work schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, or as workload demands.
