As a Shaving Line Operator, you will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for operating a variety of machinery, primarily bagging and baler machines, shrink wrapping machines, forklifts, pallet jacks, and bag sealers.
  • Conduct quality checks on each bag to ensure a solid side and top seal.
  • Responsible for assisting other production areas, as needed.
  • Using a forklift to drive the finished pallet of pellets to the stacking area.  
  • Use skid steer or front end loader to load feed bin 
  • Assist the Shift Leads to start and stop the pellet mills along with communicating any moisture or material problems or problems with the machine.
  • Perform knife maintenance on the shavings mill, grease the shavings mills, change and sharpen cutting blades, and perform light maintenance (troubleshooting, minor repairs, PMs) as required.

The ideal candidate for this role will have: 

  • Ability to maneuver 40lb to 70lbs bags on a regular basis
  • 2 -5 years of manufacturing and production experience
  • Experience operating manufacturing systems highly preferred (monitoring/control systems, software, etc)
  • Forklift experience
