This individual will support incoming and outgoing mail processing, payment reconciliation, credit card batching, and document management activities. The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable with repetitive tasks, and capable of handling sensitive financial and healthcare documentation with accuracy and confidentiality.
Responsibilities:Mail & Correspondence Processing:
Receive, sort, and batch all incoming client correspondence and mail
Scan and index documents into internal systems
Route documents to appropriate departments
Payment Reconciliation & Logging:
Match EFTs to ERAs using internal reconciliation tools
Retrieve missing Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) from payer websites
Enter and log batch data in the system
Prepare and scan manual batches and returned checks
Check Printing & Outgoing Mail:
Support check printing and sorting processes
Match checks to appropriate documentation
Operate mail inserters and prepare outgoing mail for courier pickup
Credit Card Processing:
Process and log virtual credit card payments from payers
Track and batch payments for posting
Handle credit card disputes and batch accordingly
Reporting:
Track and report daily metrics including volume of mail, checks, credit cards, and copay batches processed
High School Diploma or GED required
1+ years of experience in clerical, mailroom, or financial operations preferred
Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
Ability to prioritize and manage routine tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions
Familiarity with healthcare or financial documentation a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and internal document systems
