Essential Responsibilities This description reflects the primary duties of the role but is not intended to include every task that may be assigned.
  1. Clinical Practice
    • Provides Physical Therapy services consistent with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
    • Evaluates, tests, and administers treatment programs for patients to improve strength, mobility, balance, and function while reducing pain and discomfort.
    • Utilizes therapeutic modalities including exercise, massage, heat, cold, water, and electrical stimulation as prescribed.
    • Develops measurable, functional goals and objectives for each patient, including timelines for achievement and anticipated discharge planning.
    • Completes accurate and timely documentation to support clinical care and reimbursement requirements.
  2. Education and Support
    • Serves as a clinical educator and resource for patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare staff regarding physical therapy techniques and best practices.
  3. Performance Improvement
    • Participates in initiatives aimed at improving patient satisfaction, departmental efficiency, and quality outcomes.
    • Demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize workload and meet departmental goals.
  4. Compliance and Safety
    • Actively participates in maintaining compliance with Joint Commission standards and other regulatory bodies.
    • Adheres to safety, infection control, and confidentiality policies.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
Experience:
  • New graduates are welcome to apply
  • Experience in acute care, skilled nursing, or outpatient settings preferred
Licensure:
  • Current and active Georgia licensure to practice Physical Therapy
