The Press Brake Operator job in Biddeford, ME is responsible for operating the Press Brake to form sheet metal to customer specifications and measuring workpiece dimensions throughout the forming operation to assure quality and repeatability. You will have a solid understanding of observing tool and machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction, setting and adjusting pressure and tool clearance, and identifying metal material types and gauge thickness. Successful candidates will understand Bill of Materials (BOM’s) and interpret Job Travelers (work orders). This is a full time position.
Press Brake Operator Qualifications:
Read job specifications on blueprint/job traveler to determine machine adjustments.
Operate Press Brake to form sheet metal to customer specifications as laid out in the Job Traveler.
Measure workpiece dimensions throughout the forming operation to assure quality and repeatability.
Observe tool and machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction.
Set and adjust pressure and tool clearance.
Position workpiece against backstop or manually align layout marks to punch.
Set and adjust CNC back gauges as well as manual back gauges to specified dimensions and angles.
Reposition stock to run successive pieces, or to perform multiple operations.
Design or recommend tooling to perform the job more efficiently.
Verify all outside dimensions at each end and in the middle – recheck every 10 pieces.

Check for tooling marks after forming.
Interpret Job Travelers (work orders).

Conference Assistant Qualifications:
Provide members with their meeting materials

Provide other miscellaneous instructions and information
They may be asked to type a list of items from the opening session on Monday morning. Simple Word document and easy typing, no major formatting necessary.
The person will remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time while performing desk duties.
Individuals also need to be able to move quickly to assist with meeting room preparations between sessions.
Must be able to communicate with attendees in a professional manner, lift objects such as attendee files, paper boxes with weight up to 40 pounds, multi-task between duties.
The individual may be asked to occasionally handle other meeting related activities, for example, placing something in a meeting room, counting attendees in a session, counting sodas, etc.
