Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician – Urgently Hiring
Pay: $20/hr – $30/hr, depending on experience Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (schedule is flexible and negotiable) Start Date: ASAP We are seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for a temp-to-hire position with our client, a flexible and dynamic manufacturing facility located in Westbrook, Maine. The Industrial Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining the facility’s operations through troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance. Someone will excel in this role if they are dependable, have strong verbal communication skills, and enjoy fixing small engines or building things through plumbing, welding, and carpentry. This is a full-time opportunity, Monday through Friday, located in Westbrook, ME. As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:Ensuring the operation of machinery and equipment by performing scheduled preventative maintenance
Locating mechanical issues by observing machines in use, listening for issues, and using precision tools
Removing and repairing defective parts using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools
Inspecting and measuring parts to determine dimensional changes and required adjustments
Adjusting functional parts using hand tools, levels, and measuring instruments
Supporting production by educating team members on preventative maintenance procedures
Fabricating repair parts using machine shop equipment
Managing inventory of parts and equipment, including ordering and tracking supplies
Conserving maintenance resources by using tools and materials efficiently
Answering questions and providing maintenance updates to coworkers and supervisors
Documenting actions, irregularities, and ongoing maintenance needs for team continuity
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by following company procedures and safety rules
A high school diploma or equivalent, or hands-on experience working on machinery in a manufacturing setting
Familiarity with carpentry, plumbing, welding, and electrical systems
The ability to read, write, and perform basic math
Experience with computers and standard factory safety procedures
Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
A detail-oriented, team-focused mindset
Physical ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and stand, sit, bend, or twist for extended periods
Willingness to occasionally travel locally for supplies
Ability to pass a reference check, background screening, and fit-for-duty physical
