Job Title: Supply Chain Specialist – Urgently Hiring!
Pay: $65,000–$75,000 annually Hours: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Start Date: ASAPWe are seeking a Supply Chain Specialist for a direct hire position for our client, a well-established manufacturer located in Westbrook, ME. The Supply Chain Specialist will manage and optimize the supply chain process from procurement through delivery and oversee production planning to support customer demand. The Supply Chain Specialist ensures efficiency across suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to meet business goals. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based in Westbrook, ME.
As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will be responsible for:
Monitoring and managing inventory levels to ensure optimal stock is maintained
Reviewing sales orders, capacity, and material requirements to schedule production
Tracking material availability to meet manufacturing timelines
Coordinating procurement, transportation, and logistics operations
Resolving issues with delayed shipments, supply shortages, or quality concerns
Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors
Preparing and overseeing the manufacturing schedule to balance workloads
Analyzing supply chain performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
Ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and products
Collaborating across departments to align supply chain activities with business goals
Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers
Maintaining accurate records of shipments, orders, and inventory
Ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
3–5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or procurement
Proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite preferred)
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
A proactive, organized, and detail-oriented approach
Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
