Working as their Nuclear Safety Case Specialist, you will be working as part of their core team to support in the development and management of their new 10 year nuclear safety case, operating until 2033.                     Roles & Responsibilities Working as the Nuclear Safety Case Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting with the development of their safety case for their licenced site in Dorset. This will include:  

• Developing their Management of Change (MoC) Assessments, BAT Assessments, Radiological Dose Assessments, Site Wide Environmental Safety Case (SWESC) and Waste Management Plan (WMP).
• Delivering SSHEQ objectives in line with both company and site requirements, promoting the best culture across the site and all stakeholders.
• Maintaining their new operational safety case, ensuring full compliance and supporting with all technical documentation relating to this.
• Lead all modifications to the safety case in line with new projects and programmes.
•  Act as Lead Author and Design Authority for our EA Site Wide Environmental Safety Case (SWESC) and Waste Management Plan (WMP), ensuring compliance with the EA and the environmental permits.
• Provide technical support to assure compliance with the licensing requirements of the Nuclear Site Licence, liaising effectively with nuclear regulators.
• All other duties as required.

    Skills & Qualifications Candidates must have a background working within the Nuclear industry, supporting site safety case management and compliance requirements at a senior level. Candidates should have strong technical report writing skills, be able to deliver key SSHEQ objectives, nuclear regulatory submissions and have a good understanding of safety case development. Due to the nature of the role, practical experience on a nuclear site is beneficial and all candidates must be able to hold and maintain national security clearance.     Salary & Package

• Attending various customer sites across the UK and Ireland to carry out various installations, repair works, and after sales service support works to specialist plant and machinery.

This role is vital in providing key advice, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and guidance across the waste planning and permitting spectrum. An understanding of the hazardous waste sector would be beneficial. Knowledge of the social and environmental impacts, resource efficiency and carbon saving opportunities and sustainable waste management practices facing the waste sector would also be beneficial. Candidates are likely to have developed previous experience working within the process, waste management or hazardous waste sector; or indirectly as an environmental consultant or regulator. Candidates are expected to be qualified to degree level or equivalent in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Earth Sciences or a similar subject and be a professional member of, or be working towards membership of CIWM, IEMA or another relevant professional body. They are looking for an Industrial Services Manager to join their established team at their facility in Paisley, to support their hazardous waste treatment operations and industrial cleaning services to a number of clients across the north. This will be managing the daily running of its industrial service teams both on-site and off-site.

 

The Role

Working as the Industrial Services Manager, you will be responsible for delivering ongoing performance of the industrial service operations, including:

• Daily management of the industrial services team, ensuring all work is completed in line with customer requirements., contract agreements and business processes.
• Managing the safe, compliant and commercially sound day to day running of a busy industrial services team, driving operations in line with regulations, permits and operating licenses.

Candidates will ideally be UHPWJ / HPWJ certified or have a good understanding of high-pressure water jetting services.

Working as their Electrical Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out key planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance across the recycling facility on a wide variety of heavy plant and equipment.

 

What you will be doing

As Electrical Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for:

• Preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance across heavy industrial plant, attending to breakdowns as needed.
• Electrical fault-finding, diagnostics, and route cause analysis techniques
• Working across all processing plant and overhead equipment
• Maintenance on PLCs, motors, inverter drives, conveyors etc.
• Testing and inspection
• Minimising downtime, ensuring plant runs at optimum performance
• Troubleshooting
• Be able to deliver all work set to the operational expectations and budgetary requirements
• Keep records using internal systems and support in the implementation of IMS.
• Assisting with RAMS, permits to work and safe systems of work
• Working as part of a shift pattern

• Hands on maintenance across the site on both fixed and mobile plant including compactors, shredders and on-site conveyor systems.
• Maintaining pumps, motors, gearboxes, stirrers, mixers, and all associated plant.
• Driving plant availability through carrying out PPMs, reactive maintenance, and engineering improvements across the site as well as installations.
• Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and minimum downtime across the site.
• Stay on top of site stock and spares.
