  • Provide clear and concise advice to clients on radiation compliance issues.
  • Prepare and review radiation risk assessments and procedures.
  • Carry out audits - onshore and offshore – and ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
  • Teach radiation protection courses.
  • Mentor trainee RPA’s to help ensure they gain their RPA2000 certification.
    Professional qualifications: We are looking for someone with the following:
  • A valid RPA certificate issued by RPA2000
  • Have experience providing radiation protection advice to at least one of the utilities, real estate, nuclear, technology, marine and development sectors.
  • Radioactive Waste Adviser (RWA) Certificate or working towards it would be an advantage.
  • DGSA certification or knowledge of Class 7 transport regulations would also be desirable.
    Personal skills: The RPA role would suit someone who has:  
  • Excellent verbal, written communications, and IT Skills
  • The ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Able to plan your day and have excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work on and offshore
    Salary and benefits of the Radiation Protection Advisor role:  
  • Base salary of up to £70,000
