Roles & Responsibilities As a Junior Field Service Technician you will be responsible for:
  • Attending various customer sites across the UK and Ireland to carry out various installations, repair works, and after sales service support works to specialist plant and machinery.
  • Undertaking inspections and assessments of machinery to ensure optimal performance and that all plant remains effective.
  • Carrying out reports and documentation detailing completed works and advisories and ensuring that the customer has had necessary follow ups.
  • Providing technical and engineering support to customers as well as health and safety guidance and compliance.
  • Attending company meetings and training in the Netherlands when required

Skills & Qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:
  • Electrical experience with relevant qualifications is essential
  • Experience of working within the waste industry, ideally recycling
  • Experience of working with compactors and balers
  • Strong experience of working with heavy industrial machinery
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic experience is essential
  • Strong customer service and people skills
  • Happy to stay away during the working week occasionally

Working as a Field Service Engineer, this will see you travelling across the UK to various customers sites within the Life Sciences, Power, Municipal Water and Industrial Manufacturing industries.

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Attending various sites around the UK, carrying out commissioning, calibration, repair, and general maintenance works to various
  • Providing clear and concise technical support and guidance to customers and colleagues
  • Writing Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Following certain site procedures and working practices, including accepting, suspending, and clearing work permits.
  • Offering a first-class service to all customers, ensuring that all works completed are in line with industry guidelines and customer specifications
  • Carrying out relevant documentation and administrative tasks

Skills & Qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:
  • ONC and HNC in Electrical Engineering/Instrumentation of Control or relevant experience ย 
  • Experience of working within Portable Water, Life Sciences, Power or Industrial sites.
  • A minimum of 3 yearsโ€™ experience as a Service Technician within an instrumentation or calibration role
  • Strong problem solving and diagnostic skills

About the role

As a Transfer Station Operative, youโ€™ll ensure the site operates efficiently and effectively, with health and safety being at the fore front of everything you do.

As part of this role, youโ€™ll also carry out daily inspections of plant and equipment, ensuring any issues are reported to the site supervisor or Operations Manager as a priority.

We are currently recruiting for a Site Chemist to join one of the industry leaders in hazardous and clinical waste management solutions across the UK. Working as a Graduate/ Site Chemist, you will be responsible for taking and analysing hazardous waste samples on-site to ensure safe and compliant waste is processed at all times. This will be supporting with the day-to-day operations of the transfer station.

The Job

Reporting to the Production Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Assist with the hands-on operation of the hazardous waste site, ensuring materials coming onto and off site are consistently safe and compliant to site permits and environmental regulations.
  • Analyse, test and classify a wide variety of hazardous waste materials on-site.
  • Assist with compiling lists of wastes to be transferred off site to third party disposal points.
  • Assist with non- conformance procedures and sample processing for incoming waste streams.
  • Unloading and loading lorries across the site, operating forklift tricks and supporting with deliveries.
  • Support the site with any extra duties such as tidying and washing the yard.

The Candidate

To be considered for this position, candidates are expected to have an appropriate chemistry qualification to degree level as well as experience handling a diverse range of chemical compounds including understanding of inter-reactions.

This role would suit a recent graduate looking to further their career within the chemical sector and an interest in moving into the waste management industry.

This is NOT a lab-based role, but instead will utilise your chemistry knowledge in a hands-on operational way. You will be working in difficult conditions and across a busy yard environment. Please only apply if this is suitable.

  • Hands on maintenance across the site
  • Working on a range of cranes and mobile plant
  • Driving plant availability through carrying out PPMs, reactive maintenance, and engineering improvements across the site
  • Carrying out mechanical and electrical tests in line with legislation
