The company develop, construct, own and operate their own renewable energy assets and we’re looking for a Field Service Engineer to attend customers' sites, maintaining solar ground mounted PV and Battery Storage systems on a day-to-day basis, carrying out maintenance on installations, utilising and testing solar PV and Battery Storage systems, performing preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance as directed

Roles & Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Field Services Manager, as a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Undertaking planned inspection and maintenance according to legal, technical, manufacturer and contractual requirements
  • Performing reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and resolution in a timely manner
  • Carrying out site surveys requests as required
  • Compiling accurate and appropriate documentation for both internal and external stakeholders in a precise and timely manner
  • Keeping accurate and detailed records of electrical testing, High Voltage and safety documents that are suitable for audit
  • Ensuring that work output meets technical quality, reliability, cost, and productivity
  • Complying with the company Health & Safety Policy, including carrying out general housekeeping
  • Complying with all aspects of the company’s ISO standards: Quality management - ISO 9001 / Environmental - ISO 14001 proactively contributing to the company’s continuous improvement programme
  • Participating in an on-call rota

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:
  • NVQ Level 3 electrical qualifications or equivalent
  • 17th/18th (preferably) edition wiring regulations
  • Ideally at least a year’s experience in electrical/O&M work on utility scale solar sites
  • A dynamic and flexible attitude when it comes to call outs and occasional overnight stays
  • A full and clean UK driving licence
  • Battery storage experience is advantageous

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Estimator/QS experience
