Framatome Ltd’s Commercial Lead provides strategic leadership, Commercial oversight and control to ensure delivery of projects in line with client-side commercial arrangements in line with company strategy and both operational and financial targets.
The Commercial Lead manages the commercial team and key contracts along with liaising with internal and external stakeholders on our major contracts. The Commercial lead has the strategic responsibility for the Framatome Ltd Commercial function for scope delivery, compliance to process and ensuring delivery of financial targets.
The Commercial Lead is tasked with the long term training and development of team members with future projects and opportunities in mind, as well as ensuring the team capacity, capability and skills are ready for future pipeline of projects.
Key responsibilities will include:

Ensure all Commercial processes (including Procurement) are drafted, implemented and followed

Reviewing and developing process to improve and maximise growth

Own processes, policies and procedures for the Commercial function as required

Ensure that the organisation complies with the contract obligations as stated

Communicates with internal and external parties in a contract, so that all understand the terms and particularly the contracts financial aspects

Coaches and develops employees on best practices for managing complex contract issues

Ultimately accountable for the financial management of the project’s and reporting on progress against these
-
Nurtures relationships with clients to ensure long term delivery and value for the company

Training and / or mentoring Commercial Team

Involvement in negotiating and agreeing contracts prior to contract placement
-
Involvement with the bid process to high-light commercial risk
-
Accepts extra duties as situations arise
To be considered, the following attributes are essential:

Qualified to degree level in relevant discipline.
-
Experience working in a Senior Commercial Manager role with a track record of delivery on large multi-million-pound contracts spanning multiple years
-
Experience of corporate finance
-
Experience in Complex negotiations & stakeholder management
-
Knowledge of Contract terms and Construction industry regulation (i.e. NEC/ FIDIC)
-
Experience of managing teams and demonstrating team development
-
CIPS/ICM accreditation
Desired Attributes:
-
ERP system knowledge (preferably SAP)

Knowledge of the Nuclear Industry &/or Manufacturing
-
Knowledge of NEC/ JCT/ FIDIC terms and conditions and interpreting bespoke conditions of contracts

Knowledge of sales/ proposals processes and managing commercial risk
