Roles & Responsibilities As the Senior Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • The maintenance of an established and certified ISO9001 QMS including document control, CA/PA systems and calibration for the factory.
  • The definition and maintenance of the quality control plans for different product families according to the existing standards, our clients standard and specific Customer requirements.
  • Ensuring the correct application of work instructions and quality control plans together with Quality Management Systems procedures.
  • The planning and implementation of Quick Process Audits and their follow up.
  • Ensuring adequate tests and controls to verify product conformity, starting from incoming inspection on raw materials and components to final test on finished goods.
  • Directly managing customer quality inspection visits / audits or Factory Acceptance Tests and providing product quality certification where needed.
  • Responsible for customer complaints management, investigation, and reporting – including customer site visits as necessary.
  • Drive Improvement Projects aimed at reducing internal nonconformities and relevant costs of poor quality (COPQ).
  • Introducing appropriate operational quality tools to monitor and reduce variation in the manufacturing processes and provide active feedback from routine, batch, and random testing and inspection.
  • Quality reporting for both UK and Corporate Management on a defined set of measures (RFT, COPQ, number of Customer claims).
  • Conducting or playing an active role in IMS internal audits and supplier audits.
  • Taking an active role in Operations and Telecom Business Quarterly reviews.
  • Manage a team of four members, one quality technician and three quality inspectors.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • Previous Quality Management experience
  • Be able to demonstrate proven analytical skills

About the role

As our Operations Manager, you will provide leadership of the site to drive safety, compliance and a best in class performance. Leading by example, you’ll promote a positive working environment for all employees.

    • Issue permits to work by authorised persons.

    • Nomination, in writing, of appointed/responsible persons to comply with identified hazards and H&S legislation.

    • Provide adequate welfare and first aid facilities.

    • Conduct regular audits with clients and subcontractors to review and discuss H&S matters.

    • Ensure project is executed in accordance with the Quality, Environmental and H&S plan.

    • Implement project specific Quality, Environmental and H&S plans. Regularly review and update the project plans.

    • Ensure close out of site in accordance with the Company Procedures.

     

    General requirements for the role:

    • IOSH qualification or relevant H&S qualification is essential

    • SMSTS Qualified

    • First Aid (3 day at Work) Qualified

    • Experience of site management in a relevant industry is essential

The Service Engineer SE has an overall responsibility for:

 

  • Hands on servicing installation and repair of various types of water treatment equipment.
  • Undertaking scheduled installation/service under contract and one-off planned service outside of contract

  • Repair of customer equipment.
  • Installation of new equipment.

 

  • Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental Policies, and adhere to customer site rules and procedures (assuming the highest level compliance).
  • Attention to proactive KPI’s and personal safety plans
  • Contribute diligently to Team Performance Plan (TPP)
  • RAMS for all visits
  • Be familiar with and comply with equipment service processes
  • Identify service stakeholders and confirm technical and contractual scoping on site matches assigned work.
  • Undertake planned and unplanned service activity as allocated by Service co-ordination team
  • Perform routine maintenance work including chemical sanitisation when required.
  • Able to work at weekends as/when required

  • Work with projects team and BDM’s to effectively and efficiently instigate visits and present and one company approach.

  • Ensure any and all assumptions, customer or other responsibilities & exclusions outside scope of service are clearly identified and communicated prior to work commencing and any recommendations outside of scope of service are clearly communicated in the service report
  • Endeavour to provide value-added, differential advantage in service work focusing on:
    • How we can decrease cost of operation
    • Improve operating efficiency
    • Minimise Environmental, Health and Safety issues
Requirements
  • Post holder must hold a full UK Driving licence and must be able to travel and stay overnight as required, including occasional weekend working as and when required.
  • Previous experience of working within the Water Treatment Industry, along with servicing or installations experience.
  • 1 year relevant Equipment Service work experience desired in an appropriate Electro-mechanical environment, ideally in the water treatment sector.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations often alone on customer sites
  • Excellent communication skills required
  • Logical and well organized
  • Require minimum supervision, often lone working
