Introduction

 

Astute are looking to recruit several EC&I Engineers to join a prestigious Engineering Consultancy within the Nuclear sector. EC&I Engineers will be responsible for developing technical solutions for nuclear projects at very different stages of plant lifecycle including design, new build and decommissioning.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

As the EC&I Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Support the development of technical solutions to meet client scope of works
  • Ensure procedures, codes and standards are applied to engineering and technical activities
  • Contribute to the Product Safety Assessment process
  • Provide technical interface with internal and external stakeholders at a detailed level
  • Carry out technical investigation, analysis and data review for design improvements
  • Apply engineering knowledge to produce technical solutions and documentation
  • Ensure appropriate review, verification and approval is undertaken on work
  • Plan, deliver and monitor assigned tasks to ensure project deliverables

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for EC&I Engineers with the following:

  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering subject
  • Relevant experience in a similar role either in nuclear or a heavy process industry such as power generation, oil & gas, chemical, or defence
  • Demonstrable experience working in multi-disciplined teams to deliver projects

Roles & Responsibilities

As the Supply Chain Risk Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and embedding a fit for purpose supply chain risk management process
  • Ensuring the Commercial Directorate risks are updated and managed accordingly
  • Taking the lead on developing Critical Supplier contingency plans
  • Working in conjunction with Sourcing Team to identify risks and opportunities to enable effective management of categories and associated areas of spend
