Role and Responsibilities

The HV SAP will be responsible for:

 
  • Commissioning of LV and HV Systems
  • Documentation Control
  • Safety Procedures
  • Project Management of High Voltage Works across the portfolio
  • Write, Issue and close required Permits and Sanctions to AP’s and or Competent Persons
  • To be responsible for all High Voltage operations carried out on site
  • Develop an understanding of the specialist electrical equipment on site
  • Lead the investigation and resolution of Plant Trips, Equipment failures, incidents and near misses.

With a strategic growth plan in place, a new and exciting new opportunity now exists for a Construction Site Manager to attend customers' construction sites, maintaining various Solar and Battery construction programmes on a day-to-day basis. The Site Manager will be carrying out site inspections, ensure compliance to all statutory rules and regulations on installations, liaising directly with the Principal Contractors                     Roles & Responsibilities Reporting to the Construction Director you will be responsible for:  
  • Responsible person acting as Client Representative for Construction site management of solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Projects
  • Responsible for complying with Bluefield Group procedures and policies
  • Assist with coordination of any new Solar PV Battery and projects in the current pipeline
  • Reporting of activities performed on site daily, through the CMMS or manual reports as applicable
  • Own risk assessment, analysis, and operational limitations. Report all near misses to line manager. Liaise with external H&S auditor on EPCs performance.
  • Responsible for supervision and coordination of third-party contractors appointed by the Client, carrying out works on site
  • Guide and direct third-party contractors to comply with H&S, Environmental and Planning Regulations
      Skills & Qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:
  • 3+ years Solar PV Construction Experience on Utility Scale Solar PV (BESS experience desirable)
  • 3+ years Network diagnostics & Remote communications experience, MPAN setup, metering, and SCADA installation
  • 3+ years LV/HV Commissioning to G99, G5/4, P28 knowledge of system and DNO interface.
  • Familiarity with Solar PV mounting systems, Civil works, Earthing Systems - including review of Construction related QAQC documentation.
  • Fully trained in SMSTS; Construction Health and Safety, CDM regulations and Planning compliance. NEBOSH/IOSH diploma is desirable.

The Job

Working as the Electrical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for…
  • Working as part of the office-based design team with regular visits to site troubleshooting, checking and managing potential and live projects.
  • Driving successful project delivery, working alongside the Project Manager planning, establishing and coordinating the projects, carrying out electrical design works and ensuring projects are delivered to client specifications on time and in budget.
  • Collaborate with project teams to maintain profitability and efficient methods of work
  • Complete electrical designs and develop specifications for internal and external equipments required for each project.
  • Specify job requirements, parts and materials needed to enable projects to be scoped for tender and on-site delivery.
  • Survey electrical systems and plans.
  • Project budget and programme management.
  • Compliance with NICEIC requirements.
  • Manage all elements of the project delivery from initial site surveys, proposal preparations through to handover. This includes costings, proposals, specifications, ordering, fault finding, testing and commissioning.
  • Any other duties as required.

This is a field-based position requiring a flexible approach to work.

 

The Candidate

To be considered for this position candidates will be expected to have a background working in a site-based Electrical Engineer or Project Engineer position ideally within the water industry with a relevant engineering qualification to degree level (or equivalent) to back it up.

Our Client is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join their Recycling Facility on a full time permanent bases, based in Halesfield. This role will be leading and supporting their Engineering and Maintenance function across the team, strengthening the current strategy on-site.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Leading and developing all maintenance and engineering strategies across a fast-paced recycling facility.
  • Working closely with the head of Engineering to develop and lead a strong planned maintenance structure, optimising and utilising current assets from performance data.
  • Working to build a strong basis for maintenance procedures across the site to set the standard for future maintenance strategies.
  • Assist alongside the Operations Manager, Unit Manager and Area Manager to influence and assist in key decision-making processes for engineering functions across the site. Working to provide financial and performance reporting where necessary.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Proactively promote a positive Health & Safety culture, leading towards a target of zero harm across personnel and contractors
  • Continuous review of plant availability, and department performance, Identifying gaps, root causes and subsequent improvement activity.
  • Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for the engineering department.

 

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:
  • Strong track record developing maintenance strategies and engineering functions in process, production or manufacturing environments.
  • A good understanding of lean concept and optimisation strategies within a production focussed role.
  • NVQ 3/ HNC/ HND or equivalent in an engineering subject or a relevant field.
  • Demonstrable experience working to strict health, safety and compliance standards.
