Our client is one of the UK's leading provider of Environmental solutions, offering a full range of Waste and Energy Recovery services through a vast and growing network of Plants and Facilities across the country. As such they are looking for a Maintenance Planner to join their polymers recycling facility in Skelmersdale. The Maintenance Planner is responsible for the creation and execution of the site operations PPM, Work order, equipment failure and maintenance plan, to ensure all tasks are scheduled and issued within agreed timescales.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

As the Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for:

  • The total administration, performance reporting and development of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) on site.
  • Managing the spare parts inventory on site and at third party locations, organise parts in and out movements and the raising of purchase orders, administration of contracts related to maintenance.
  • Supporting with maintenance labour requirements, review of the maintenance teams holidays to ensure minimum requirements for labour are met (arranging cover as required).
  • Sourcing of spares and engineering services for planned and reactive maintenance requirements, including the raising and closing of Purchase orders.

 

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

Deputy Group Leader (Manufacturing Control)                                        Aztec West (Bristol)                                                                                                             (3 days per week minimum) EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is a subsidiary of Edvance, which is a joint venture between EDF and Framatome, established in 2018 in charge of the design and the realisation of nuclear islands for new projects in France and worldwide. In particular, EPR-E is responsible for the design and construction of the nuclear island for Hinkley Point C (HPC) project and preparing the design replication and engineering activities for the Sizewell C (SZC) Project. At HPC we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes. For the HPC project, we are currently looking to recruit for the role of Deputy Group Leader – Manufacturing Control The UK Manufacturing Control (UKMC) team aims to provide adequate and reactive surveillance on:

These activities are achieved to provide confidence to our clients (projects) and to ensure that the manufactured parts and equipment reach the expected level of quality, in accordance with the specified requirements, and can thus be delivered to nuclear sites for installation. Created in November 2021, and as part of DI (Industrial Division of EDF Group), the UKMC team is now part of EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E). Its headquarters are in Bristol (Aztec West). The main competencies of the team are Manufacturing, Materials, Welding and NDTs. UKMC current scope of work is basically all the manufacturing in the UK for new nuclear projects (UK and abroad) and the French operating fleets. But most of the work (~90%) is dedicated to HPC project, on all areas and programmes:

  • Conventional Island and Balance of Plant (UK3011, UK3511, UK3252, UK5211, UK5221…)

The purpose of this role is primarily to assist the Manager/Group Leader of the UKMC team. The main tasks are: Technical assistance contracts:

  • to verify the partners times, log of activities, invoicing…
Internal control and monitoring of the team activities:
  • to achieve the managerial validation of some of the team's technical deliverables

Propositions of business development, and identifying strategic opportunities The candidate will have to be able to travel on a regular basis in the UK (couple of times each month) and occasionally in France (Paris). To be considered, we require the following skills and experience:
  • Management skills: an already acquired and successful experience is team leading/management (preferable), otherwise to be able to demonstrate such skills
  • Knowledge in equipment procurement contracts for nuclear projects (HPC preferably)
  • Good technical competencies in mechanical engineering, materials, welding
  • Advanced knowledge in the manufacturing of equipment/parts, as well as in Quality and/or Surveillance
  • Experience in the management/coordination of contracts for technical assistance

The Team Lead holds the Radioactive Material Transport Responsible Officer (RMTRO) appointment at the Tradebe Inutec Nuclear Licensed Site and if not already a qualified Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA) then should be keen to work towards this qualification to hold this position for the Licensed Site.  The Team Lead must ensure that all legislative requirements of the appointments are fulfilled, together with Regulatory and Nuclear Site ‘Licence Conditions’ obligations. To manage and coordinate Site Transport, ensuring compliance with the appropriate regulations, including radioactive material and dangerous goods packaging and transport via road, rail, air or sea.  Ensuring the relevant documentation, package approvals, safeguard requirements, insurance and customs are in place where applicable.  The Team Lead is to ensure transport operational integrity is met and aligned with business needs and goals. This is a demanding role requiring excellent team working, attention to detail, IT and communication skills with multi-stakeholder networking skills across all levels of the Tradebe Business including external customers and regulators. The successful candidate will be required to obtain SC National Security clearance. The post-holder will report to the RDAT (Radwaste Disposals, Accountancy and Transport) Manager at Tradebe Inutec. Key Responsibilities · Ensure compliance (both legislative and 3rd party requirements) of all radioactive waste movements in and out of Tradebe Inutec. · Support the Site and provide advice and guidance to the business on profitable technical solutions for waste through thorough understanding of waste recycling/disposal Waste Acceptance Criteria both for primary and secondary wastes. · Line management of the RDAT team · Oversight and management of processes for the management of wastes at Winfrith. · Oversee the preparation of paperwork to send waste to LLWR, Fawley and other radioactive waste processing and disposal sites. · Have oversight of offsite packages compliance as well as package maintenance, inspection, testing and record keeping. · Act as the Safeguard Lead for Nuclear Materials Accountancy and Control. · Liaise with the Security Manager with regards to the requirements of the security plan for Category I to III shipments and any other relevant security matters.  Ensure necessary notifications are made and provide a security movement plan and security escort where necessary. · Approve transport moves.                                                                                                                                                           · Responsible data verification tasks and support PMs in verification tasks as required. · Ensure all waste at Tradebe Inutec comply with statutory regulations, Environmental Permitting Regulations (EPR), ADR, and the Tradebe Inutec site and B4 safety cases. · Ensure all radioactive wastes are checked against relevant Waste Acceptance Criteria (WAC’s) prior to final disposal to sites listed in our EPR. · Support the team to provide technical advice / reports to members of Site and Division teams (including sales, proposals, projects, operations Inutec & Fawley etc). · Obtaining reports and information on radioactive waste management in UK and overseas and reporting to project and technical managers. · Updating and improving waste compliance instructions. · Management and preparation before and during audits. · Oversight of preparation of waste acceptance paperwork · Ensure waste is correctly recorded and removed from the Tradebe Inutec Waste Tracking database so Tradebe Inutec has a live record of all radioactive waste held on site. · Monitor and move / split waste consignments as they are processed at Tradebe Inutec. · Development and improvements of internal processes and interdepartmental processes that affect the team directly. · Working directly with or for Project Managers on detailed waste issues as required · Participate in Duty of Care Audits Required Qualifications – must have Education: Degree required, ideally a Bachelor's in radiochemistry, physics, or related field Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.), strong organizational and leadership skills Preferred Qualifications – nice to have RAMTUC Level 3 Course 2+ years' experience of radioactive waste and dangerous goods transport desirable. Key elements •             Produce quotations and tender documents for Socomec’s Power Switching & Monitoring product ranges. •             Attend pre and post tender meetings as Socomec’s representative Projects •             Attend pre-delivery project meetings as Socomec’s representative •             Attend post-delivery project sites for commissioning, training and hand-over General Support •             Utilise corporate tools (CRM, Support Line) to maintain technical support service levels •             Attend customer sites as an expert in fault finding, commissioning and supporting CIM team •             Provide internal and external training for key stakeholders (sales team, CIM, system integrators, large customers) •             Develop Socomec UK’s range of integrated products Additional responsibilities •             Specification and promotion with end users and consultants •             Generate new business opportunities and prepare & follow up quotations •             Work with national sales manager to deliver area commercial action plans •             Development & support of target markets (water industry, systems integrators) •             Provide constructive feedback on customer technical requirements •             Additional tasks as required in line with department/company strategic goals Key internal and external interfaces •             External: panel builders, distributors, systems integrators, OEMs, end users, regional consultants •             UK sales teams (principally PSM, although liaison with CP/CIM teams on large projects is important)  •             BA Applications Developers, Key Account Managers, Service Group (SAT or CIM), Regional and Local Management Team Key performance indicators •             Sales Target - Direct Sales within target portfolio of clients of £1.5M •             New account target file – maintain 6 live new customers under focus 225 annual visits to customers Education and background •             Degree in electrical/electronic engineering or HND in electrical engineering Skills •             Good computing skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint •             Have excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence •             Excellent time management and presentation skills
