Job Title: 2nd Shift Machine Operator -  Start next week!

Pay: 19.60 Hours: 3 pm to 130 am Monday to Friday  Start Date: Orientations weekly on Mondays

We are seeking a 2nd shift Machine Operator for a Seasonal position  for our client, a manufacturing company located in Independence, OR. The Machine Operator is responsible for ensuring the organic materials flow through the shakers, informs the heavy equipment operator to fill the shakers, performs housekeeping duties which include scraping, sweeping and shoveling, stacking bags, and assists where necessary at the direction of the foreman. A Machine Operator can adapt  to physical demands, including lifting, standing for an entire shift and working in various environments. Ultimately, success will be demonstrated by reliability, attention to detail, and teamwork in keeping operations running efficiently. This is an entry level production position  located in Independence, OR.

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for:

• Coordinating with the material handler and heavy equipment operator which material will be used for each machine 
• Ensuring the shakers are filled to keep the flow of material to the production lines
• Ensuring  the correct roll stock is being used and places it on the machine
• Performing the necessary machine adjustments to ensure the quality and quantity standards are being produced
• Completing  production documentation insuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness
• Informing  the maintenance personnel of any problems in which they may encounter
• Following safety practices to ensure their safety and the safety of others.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• Six months of prior production experience as a Machine Operator  preferred but not required.
• The ability to follow safety practices to insure their safety and the safety of others around you.
• The ability to work in a dusty environment, hot/cold/rainy weather
• The ability to lift 30 lbs frequently and 50 lbs on occasion
• The ability to climb ladders and work on your feet for most of the day
