Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant:
Engage in the preparation of standard and specialized journal entries and financial reports, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Compile and analyze financial data to prepare entries into accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and control procedures.
Support the financial close cycle by preparing journal entries for expense allocations, accruals, and other routine financial transactions.
Collaborate with store support center team members and personnel from stores and distribution centers to address inquiries regarding journal entries and financial reports.
Required Skills for Staff Accountant:
0-2 years of general accounting experience, with a preference for those familiar with SAP.
Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables, is essential.
Strong attention to detail, particularly in processing and reviewing documentation, data entry, and data integrity.
Ability to build strong partnerships and interdepartmental relationships.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred, with an interest in obtaining a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation being advantageous.
